I am thrilled to introduce my latest side project - a fan-remake Pokémon Emerald using RPG Maker with a bit of a twist.​

​

I'm not going to lie; I'm making this game because the sheer lack of Pokémon games with human male-on-Pokémon breeding (or any kind of meaningful pregnancy/breeding mechanics) is disappointing to me and I want to do something about it. So in my free time, I've been working on a game in Pokémon Essentials, it's a sort of remake of Pokémon Emerald with quite a few differences.​

Game Overview

The Player is visited by a mysterious woman in a dream. She informs you that while trying to have a bit of fun, she made a mistake that could potentially cause mass extinction if left uncorrected. After scrambling to come up with a solution you have been chosen to intervene and prevent the catastrophic outcome, while there will be great danger she almost promised you a great reward as well.​

​

Without any warning, you find yourself transported from your world to the enchanting land of Pokemon. Upon arrival, you realize that you possess unique abilities that have been granted to you, including the power to command others to submit to your will under certain conditions. As you explore the Pokemon world, you will encounter familiar foes such as Team Magma, Aqua, and Rocket, all while attempting to stop the ever-looming catastrophe.​

In this enhanced version of Pokemon Emerald, romantic elements have been added to the game, enabling you to form relationships with various characters you meet along the way. Whether you decided to court them the old fashion way or decide to take a more hands-on approach is up to you.​

Another gift that you have been given is the ability to breed with Pokémon born with a special gene creating a unique offspring, these Pokémon can be found throughout your journey and must be tamed first.​

Features

• Corruption of different characters from the evil team grunts to even gym leaders! These characters can be used to achieve different tasks throughout the game and spread your reach. You don't have to do this and can just romance your favorites . . . but what's the fun in that?
• Pokémon from newer generations are available in the game expanding the roster, meaning that you will have more than just the 3rd generation Pokémon to play around with
• Player x Pokémon sex and breeding system, this is how you will get new powerful variants of Pokémon to help you throughout the game.
• Some trainers can be found with Shadow Pokémon! These are Pokémon that has had their heart sealed and not only do they have no weakness, but they had powerful Shadow moves that are always super effective!

Closing thoughts

Right now I'm planning on having the Demo go up to Dewfort Town. While it's only where the second badge is located I find it as a good endpoint so that I can focus on adding a good amount of content in the early game. I'm planning on 3 females whose routes you can at least start and get some scenes, and 3 Pokémon who you can get their Trust or Obedient up a bit as well.​

All the systems I've talked about have already been tested and work, so nothing I spoke of is out of scope for me. With that being said I will be looking to refine them as time goes on.​

Don't be afraid to tell me what you think! I would love to hear any thoughts on this or any ideas people may have or even request. Just know that this is a little part-time project so there might be slow periods but I'll try and post as much as I can.​

Thank you! Yeah, It is quite a bit but lucky for me Pokemon essentials (A pokemon toolkit some awesome people made) has a lot of ways to do most of this stuff. Of course, I still find myself getting stuck on something for hours lol.

Hello everyone! Just a little sneak peek at the start of one of the scenes! Hopefully I'll have more to show soon, but man I planned a lot of events in the first few areas lol. Also I might put a poll to see what Pokémon people would like to see events for, I'm actually not a big Ralts line fan but they are a fan favorite so of course it had to be one of the first ones done. I like some really weird Pokemon so I would love to see if others share my interesting task lol.

Hello everyone! This is update going over some of the things I've been working on. Leave any ideas or suggestions you have, I would love to talk to everyone.

People have spoken and Braixen has won the Poll, thank you all for participating! Eevee was hanging in there for awhile but lost steam towards the end, personally I'm a Snivy enjoyer. Here's your magical fox girl sneak peak, I hope you all enjoy. There has been a unforgivable lack of ass here so I had to rectify that, I hope this makes up for it.

Progression is going alright, I almost got a complete gasp of how I'm going to do the egg system and just how many side activities I'll have in the demo along with Pokémon/Trainer scenes. I started drafting up some of the Hybrid Pokémon (Pokémon created from the Player breeding with specials Pokémon). Money is going to be important to unlock certain things in the game, so I'm finding a way to make it fun but not a hard wall like in other games, it should be a puzzle that the player can solve by learning and exploring the game if that makes sense.

Maybe in the future

I have my hands full with what I'm working on at the moment, so this section is for fun things I might do in the future. I can't promise anything, but I've be playing around with a mini character creator for the game. That way people can have a better connection to their character, but again this is a big maybe.

Personally I would much rather prefer the opposite, a female MC who was responsible to "evolve" the male pokemons. Making efforts for pokemons to see her as more attractive than other "female pokemons" or even be jealous/

Even though, good luck to your project, it seems well structured and as any games, it will probably give a lot of work and effort.

I'm with your here, I always wanted this kind of Pokémon game and decided to do it myself lol. Once I get the Demo done I'll see about doing some tests to see it's compatibility with Android devices, I'm using RPG Maker XP so mobile might be tricky.

You are correct! However, with Pokémon Essentials (And RPG in general) some plugins and weird gaming workarounds can cause the experience to be less than stellar at best and unplayable at worse. So after I've finished everything I will take it through a few tests on Joiplay and see what I can change or cut to make the experience as good as possible.

Hello everyone! This is a shorter update, but one of the last ones before the Demo release. Honestly, I'm just releasing it because I'm proud to get this far. I do have a few new scenes but I want to keep them secret until the demo, it's really hard to resist the urge to post them lol.

Announcement

While working on the game I thought that this would be important to point out (just in case anyone missed it) but the game has two routes, Corruption and Moral (Name pending). The demo will focus on the Corruption Route so you all should know from the tags what you're in store for, however, the Moral Route version of the demo will be worked on soon after (It's pretty different). But I will say that the Corruption Route will always have priority during this game's development cycle and is seen as the canon route, one of the people who playtest for me said that I should bring this up in a post.

W.I.P

The demo is almost done! I have the final boss of the demo finished and I can tell you that it's a hard battle (at less for me), but you will be rewarded handsomely for it. I have mastered the quest system (for the most part), so you can use the quest log to help keep notes on things you need to do. All that's really left is the super fun and exciting task of cleaning up grammar issues, tightening up the writing a bit (never said that I was a writer lol), and lots of bug testing.

Well, that's all I have, hopefully, next time we speak I'll have something to show outside of just teaser images. Like always feel free to ask me anything or comment, engagement here really helps get eyes on the project which makes the hard work feel all the more worth it. Peace for now!

Thank you for showing interest! They do not speak in this verse (With some expectations) but The Pokémon themselves (depending on species) can be pretty intelligent, a lot of quests will have to do with the different personalities of the Pokémon.
