RPGM - Pokemon Lewd Virus [v0.4b] [PurpurDawn]

An excellent start to the game, the gameplay is gripping and the NSFW is well done, the story is also gripping.
The game can have a very good and beautiful evolution, I am impatiently waiting for the rest of the game.

It's a good game!
Has the classic pokemon combat, while still pretty early the story premise is good. The art is also fine, with a lot of customization for hair stuff, which is great. Makes you wish it was animated though. Also, right now it's a little bit lacking on the H department. But overall is a solid start.

This is a very promising game and I will wait for it to come out more complete!

For now it doesn't even look like a beta, it seems like the developer made the base from which the game will be built.

The idea is good, there already seems to be a cast (even though it is quite limited)
The art is ok, I guess it could be better even without sacrificing the pokemon feel but that's fine.
More importantly the pokemon vibe is nicely captured, even if the first enemy requires maybe a little too much grinding.

For a game with so little to do in the current version, this has a lot of promise. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this develops.

The difficulty of the trainer battle with hex maniac was harder than I expected from a game like this. I hope future battles will be similarly challenging.

For a proof of concept it is not bad. For a franchise that has "inspired" so many people there is a real lack of projects related to it so always happy to see someone take a crack at it. The story put forward is novel enough that I find it interesting and while there isn't a lot of lewd stuff yet I can see where it is going which is neat. I like that it feels like their is a bit of choice in the matter. You can get them all but it feels like you might be able to skip getting intimate with girls you dislike. Overall it is fairly bare, I spent an hour and this was both catching all Pokémon and seeing if evolution worked yet for the starter, but it feels like a solid foundation. Here's to hoping it only gets better.

I want to be nice to this because it's obscenely early but I don't even understand why this is a public release. It feels and plays like every other abandoned Pokemon porn game. It's one in a sea of " 1:1 Pokemon gameplay with occasional porn." I appreciate the early use of more kinky scenes like the free-use hex girl and ENF photos at least. I would strongly encourage you to make a really large first update, especially if you want to make money off Patreon support. I've backed too many projects like this that just go tits up after two micro updates over a year to recommend this game at its current state. I would love for you to be that guy who actually finally finishes one of these games, and I'm wishing you the best of luck, but you gotta do something big if you're gonna make it.

Since this is just a demo (hell this is barely WIP due to the length) I sort of wanted to sit this one out, but playing this was so enjoyable I just had to make a review now.

Gameplay: The first ever release clocks in under 30 minutes worth of gameplay and story, which is only dragged out by how much time you spend catching the mons in each area. Since there is no store in the starting location, you are instead given 50 pokeballs for free to use. The types you can find and their matchup, are diverse enough to grind up each mons stat against their favorable opponent (not there is much reason to do so, considering the only trainer battle has up to level 8 mons) which is a nice suprise after dealing with much worse mon selection in the past. It also seems you will be given the option to skip battles before you feel ready in the future too, which is a generous feature to offer.

Adult Content: Nothing special right now. One pose of Hex Maniac showing her panties, with or without her bush (again showing the promise of customization). Two pictures of Juniper and Bianca in bikinis, accessible through your own PC after collecting. So the game has it least shown the start of a in game gallery mode, that makes in universe sense and hopefully in the future will also deal with the content tied to specific NPCS so that you don't have to seek them out and interact with them each time you want to view their scenes.

Final Verdict: Should you play the game in this state? For me it was short and sweet enough to be worth it, but honestly this shouldn't even be titled v0.1 since there is next to nothing in here but the bare bones and promises of a great game. Most of the heavy lifting is done by the essentials engine, and is clear the dev is inexperinced considering the piss poor tile use (cut off trees, random grass placement without rhyme or reason) and the strange balance choices (superb mon and type selection, but giving left overs this early on instead of the exp share when all there is to do is grinding, and giving opponents with under level 10 mons super potions which is just redundant when the mons have so low health and they just waste their turn due to it). I think this is going to be great, but I must rate this after the reality it offers.
