Damn, still missing the one engine who can actually make more than a difference, > OpenMW.
As I already said otherwise, it is first a new engine for the TES III content to be played, extended (modern) script, HD graphics, see the (beta for now) editor as to have an idea of what is achievable.
Where it is more difficult is that modding 3D, openworld games = vast array of knowledge and tools requirements.
From textures, to 3D models, animations etc. While there has always been help as to handle the most difficult parts (and tutorials), peoples able to manage more than one field are far less than 10%. Dialogues and npc, are the most easy part, since it's coded as to support RPG, those who know the TESC should know what it is about.
Not sure about the voice part, guess it is supported but not mandatory ?
Otherwise, RPG = immersion, new horizon (by boat with the sun dwelling reflecting on the water + land, while crossing Sheogorath, then, some months laters, same setup over the released Telvanni Lands, a modder created a npc driven boat tour, 20mn to 2h, scenic. Damn.
That and (cant remember which game it was) an pitch black interior, where both friendly and baddys are, cant fix as to what was the reason(s) for my PC to get in, still, Was not the same getting out. (Could be Oblivion, something about the Grey Fox mask, kept by priest who have burden theirs eyes, thus having no use for light where they are). Along with some desk played settings, damn good memorys.
Planescape torment, the morgue, be damned with the amount of options there is there, over 30 actions to find, each with multiples results.
Now, Torment Tides of Numera = small zone, load time from going from zone to zone, be damned, why chose that engine ?
RPGmaker, depend of which version, then which game you tried, as said, the Last Sovereign is among the top, alone with Harem as to narrative/story, Harem collector then Alone (last, re started playing it these days, there no doubts).
To be seen.
