That's not a bad thing though. If you want to create a product that targets a minority of people or cater to a specific fan base it is good thing.
That said there is still division here if you pay attention. That means if the author picks one set of views over the other that will make it even more narrow of a targeted audience.
That's not really a problem if you aren't interested in making money and are just doing it to be creative.
