Iirc, after clicking Edit, the option of deleting the poll should appear but I can't find it.

No (see screenshot in the OP). I had the option at some point but it doesn't appear anymore ; I don't know why, maybe one of the options I selected?

I agree. You should be able to and there's absolutely no reason for you not to be.
