I grabbed the new dev version from the patreon last week and am doing another playthrough. I hate using cheats and try to play a pure game, except I max out my stats at the start (raising your stats is a real grind in this game IMO). Notes:
Stats: I really like how the percents can go over 100. My CHA is 108. I don't know why, but I like that people have "Exceptional" stats in this game.
STDs Not Good: STDs still out of control. I hate using a condom, but that's what I'm doing. STDs will kill your company in the early going. My company is currently rank 3 and I literally can not afford to cure my models ($55,000!). The point values in the perk system need to be adjusted IMO. I have to take 15 points of disadvantages just to play without STDs? The disadvantages were so bad that I'd rather not play than take them, so I'm still suffering through the STD epidemic.
Events: I think the game needs more events. They don't happen often, and I get the same few over and over. I want ore stuff that happens at your house. I'd love more in-company drama - employees that hate each other, employees that are in love with you, rival companies sending in spies/saboteurs, that kind of thing. As of right now, I get the cops showing up (I hate the rude dialogue options in that one, by the way), the occasional guy breaking in, and the stalker event.
Recruiting at Night: I shoot a scene during the day and edit, and then go recruiting at night - which limits me to the hospital and the alley. I think it would be cool if you could go to the park at night - where shady events no doubt take place. Drug deals, some random guy digging a hole in the ground, a bunch of homeless dudes gathered around a trash can with a fire in it, that kind of thing.
Rare Preggos: It is too hard to find preggos. I started a preggo website, and for some reason the site immediately wanted 10 scenes. I swear to god i went to the hospital every day for 8 hours to recruit preggos. Over the course of a MONTH I pulled 8, only successfully got 3 to agree to do a scene through the interviews. It's pretty much impossible to recruit the number of preggos you need for a niche site. I guess if you took fertility drugs and impregnated as many models as possible you could do it, but the STD situation will end up putting you on the shelf and then you're not filming any scenes for weeks at a time.
Null: I think my character is addicted to cocaine. When I set up a scene with him, it says "Null is an addict." It doesn't say his name, it refers to him as "Null". Just thought I'd point it out.
Crabby Camgirls: In previous version of the game, I couldn't get camgirls to work. I've got them going now, and it really helps a lot. They all are "slightly annoyed" though. I move the slider around and even if I allow them to keep almost all of the money they generate, they're not happy. Is this a bug or are camgirls just meant to be crabby?
Overall: Overall the game is great. I am excited at the prospect of future tweaks and additions, especially if you flesh out more storyline-type stuff. I think the rivalries can be explored more. This one company keeps fucking with me, and while I can see their top stars, I wish I could learn more about their owner, their top models (maybe even watch their most famous scenes), and screw them over they way they're screwing me over.
I know a lot of us have played Sim Bro, which is somewhat similar to this game in some ways. One feature from that game that I liked was the combats - you could bring your crew around the city and get into fights, and through those fights you could make money, gain XP, and even recruit people. I hated the rape element of that game and definitely don't want to see that in Porn Empire, but the idea of getting into a rumble with a rival porn company cracks me up and would give this game a bit more variety.
I'd also like to see more graphical updates - shooting a huge load, and especially making models look wet/sweaty. I could be wrong, but I don't think it would be too hard to add a wet shine to existing skin. Wet hair might work too, right? I also love the "x ray" suggestion someone made in this thread.
