Some thoughts on travel... you can buy a yacht. You can buy a private jet. The game includes an airport. Yet I never get the feeling that the MC ever actually leaves town, which is odd to me. After all, clearly the means are there.
Now what I mean is that let's say I have a yacht and I throw a party on that yacht and my invite list is girls from South America. It takes a week to plan it, and I spend a lot of cash. This is fine, but in the end what I get is a bunch of guests who say that they're from South America but actually live in America and my yacht never really left the pier that it's moored at. Why do I say this? Because any further interactions that I have these girls operates that same as if they lived across the street. If I get busted putting up a secret video I get the same American police/lawyer response, or I may get the same jealous boyfriend, or the same knocked-up confrontation as any local girl would.
But if I were doing this realistically I would be sailing that yacht down to the coast of Columbia or something, throwing the party there, offering to hire who I wanted and never really worrying about what the rest think of me after getting safely home to inside the US border. So no legal threats from secret videos or bastard children (heck, real life porn makers travel abroad for exactly these reasons) and it should take some time for the girls hired to actually arrive in town, plus there should be some kind of extra hiring fee for helping them relocate and get visas.
I know this all might seem trivial but what I'm really getting at is the whole idea of the MC actually traveling as a mechanic and all the possibilities that can open up. You could have special events where you run into a foreign celebrity who can either help you or try to ruin you depending on how you play your cards, you could find places where certain drug laws don't apply and others where they're far more harsh. Places where prostitution is legal or more cracked down on. Likewise, the videos, demand for videos and reputation of both the MC and their product/company could be affected by this kind of content. It's one thing to open a website themed around Asian girls but it's a whole other level if you actually fly out to China & Japan to recruit them and shoot porn there.
How would I work this mechanically, if I were the dev? By either clicking on the yacht, airplane or a ticket booth in the airport you can Book A Trip. Oh, and those 7 day vacations you can gift to schmooze your staff? Offer to add a fee to take them along with you for similar relationship perks. Anyway, much like current parties once you book the trip it uses similar mechanics for when it happens only instead it is now Catch Your Ride. A certain amount of time passes (a day for flying, more for sailing) and you arrive at a new location using the same spawn mechanics as parties. The difference is that now instead of locations being your yacht, mansion or beach the locations will be dependent on the region and how much you spent. For example, if you went cheap you might limited to the hotel and the local pubs & clubs. If you went extravagant you could rent a mansion for the week, have access to a beach (if appropriate) and such like before. If you spent the time to sail there you'd have yacht access, naturally. Once there you'd have 3 to 7 days to do whatever you wanted to - sleeping no longer ends the activity in one day, rather only on the final day. This way you'd have time to rest and regain energy between outings and events, thus giving travel a tangible advantage over domestic parties that end in 8 hours flat. Most fun of all is that, as mentioned before, different locations can have their own unique, scripted events tied into them. Heck, we could even add (or relocate) special NPCs to other countries and have to go there to acquire them.
As a side note, speaking of special NPCs becoming PAs I'd suggest that in addition to their traits that have an extra bonus to a specific PA job type. The nurse, for example, should get a bonus when working as a Medical Advisor that regular random-generated NPCs wouldn't have. The library girl or the visiting accountant would get a special bonus when employed as a Financial Advisor or Analytics, perhaps. Maybe you could find better quality webmasters in Korea or better security guards in Germany? I dunno, just throwing ideas out there right now.
Anyway, I think that actual travel would be a great addition and not to hard to achieve, because most of the current party throwing mechanics can probably be copy/paste/edited into said travel mechanics. The real work would just be drawing new location art (because a English hotel isn't going to look like a Indian one).
