Thanks for your response Is Photoshop subscription only? I don't think I would use it nearly enough to justify a subscription. Would GIMP be a relatively good alternative?

no matter whether you are a pro or a newbie I recommend Gimp or Photoshop. With both software's you can do signatures. Some people go with gimp because it's free, but lets be realistic PS is simply better. Now you can find both free cracked versions online easily. I just found the latest version simply googling it. Now in all honesty I recommend you start straight ahead with PS. Once you have it simply watch tutorials YouTube on how to create forum signatures.

Once you watched a few vids or just simply follow step by step you will understand how to create them.

If you are in need of resources let us know and we shall provide

Now there are tons of styles I learned them most except gifs. Gifs is something I haven't mastered yet.

One word of advice: If you have the patience and creativity then GFX is something you might like and enjoy!
I'll be honest I have been doing this for years and I have taught a lot through streams but maybe 5% have succeeded.


The only thing I have to say is practice, play around with settings and have fun!

Dang it. Width is OK at 407, but height is 183 so I guess that's why it's sqaushed down, which is a shame because it looks better full size.

Are we sure about those sizes, though? Because my last sig was 414x130 for each gif and it didn't get squashed down.
