I mentioned there are some changes coming to the project and how I intend to handle it in the future. These changes are now here, and I'm happy to give you some clarity (as I just got it for myself). So... where do we start? Maybe with a TLDR version so I don't lose half of you right away since this is about to become a huuuuge wall of text. :-DThe TLDR version:
- The releases will not follow a strict schedule anymore
- Next version with focus on Kat scenes can be expected latest in October
- The version numbers get a redesign and will make more sense now
- Maybe Aisha's storyline will happen before the threesomes...
- The patron rewards won't change
- The posts will not be as frequent, but a lot is planned already
- Community integration will become even more meaningful
- There are 4 possible continuations after v1.00: 2017 Movie, In Space, Villain or Megaforce (patrons will decide)
The game development process
As for the game and its development i'd like to take it slower, but therefore consistent now. This means updates don't have to appear on a monthly basis anymore. I'd rather have a somewhat open schedule and work hard and enthusiastic on the game whenever I can and want to make it happen. So no more classic Roadmap with specific dates 5 versions into the future, but a focus on the next release. This liberates me tremendously regarding the content I can add. For example I'd like to have the next release focus entirely on the sex scenes with Kat and you can expect a new major release around September/October.
Because of this I'd like to get away from the somewhat forced version system as well. For me, v1.00 should be a celebration of a complete experience within itself. Of course we don't have to end at v1.00, but the game deserving that number will at least contain the first 4 girls and some threesome content as well. Since we're at v0.71 right now, I think I'll just go with the flow and add whatever number I deem worthy. So v0.80 has to basically finish the Kat storyline and v0.90 will already contain a lot of Aisha.
As for the story progress, I'm still not sure how to approach it (I mean I know pretty much what will happen with Aisha and how to include the threesomes, but I can't anticipate what will come first). Let me ask you about that in a later post since right now we don't have to worry about it anyway. Finishing Kat is first priority no matter what.
Last but not least I haven't talked to my artist just yet, so I don't know when to expect pictures I can show you as previews. But hey, you're here for the actual content, not the previews, right?
The patreon side of it all:
So for my patrons... I actually won't change anything. Okay wait that doesn't sound right... Of course I'm going to approach my most committed and loyal patrons and see how I can honor and compensate you well for the last few months. Regarding the actual reward and tier system, I'm just gonna roll with it. Most of you support me for the project and not the releases anyway (thanks a ton btw., you're the best!). And if you want to just get access to the latest and greatest release, I recommend you wait for it to come out and then pledge for one month only. This way you won't get charged for nothing in the meantime.
My posts will continue to roll out, although it will be not as frequent as before. I'm going to deliver on that Ren'Py tutorial and I'm looking forward to a sexiest villain contest. Also I have ideas about some funny behind the scenes information and of course there are the previews. The other channels (reddit, discord, f95zone) will be kept very minimal to make sure that most of the content (and all of the essential content) will be delivered over here on patreon. It's all about the focus now.
Oh yes don't think I let you off the hook regarding community integration. I have so many questions I want to ask you regarding Aisha once she's out. Also I have some ideas on how to give our favorite (or only) robots Osei and Ensou a larger role in this. I'll still call most of the shots here, but you'll be more than ever able to tip the scale to your liking.
You want an example? Okay I'm dropping the bomb right away: Regarding the post v1.00 content I'm going to give my patrons a very simplified decision on the follow up content. We can go right to the 2017 Movieverse and have a nice time with modern Kim and Trin (and all the meta-humor attached to such scenario). We could also go for a special detour and introduce a villain side storyline (probably based on the villain contest result). Or we just go In Space which would be the chronological choice (I'm just going to ignore that there was a Turboverse somewhere). The last option would be to go straight to Megaforce because that could give Ensou and Osei an edge in the story department (and honestly: Emma and Gia, do I really have to say more?!?). All of these options are quite compelling to me as of now, so you see: I'm going to call the shots, but you will have massive influence on what's going to happen.
