Real Life Sunbay was actually originally male protag, but changed quickly to female, then after a while back to male.
Was that perhaps in the very first few versions of real life sunbay? Cause the 2020 version, which is considered as alpha or beta versions it got female only. If i understand you then, then it was like first male, erased, swapped for female, adding male next to it, erased female, male only again.
The very first version was kind of like a third person corridor shooter in a vaguely noir style. It had a male PC, but I'm not sure if there ever even was a second update to it.
Afair the game has had a female PC as long as it's been an open world adventure game. The original premise was about becoming a famous pornstar or something like that. The male PC only made it back into the game after several iterations of the fetish/BDSM club. Initially the male PC side of things was just like a management minigame.

For those having trouble running the game (bad fps) try this:
Make a shortcut of >PrettyMiaDesires.exe<
right click on the shortcut and open >Settings<
there is a line called >Destination<
put -d3d11 after "C:\FolderWhereYouPutYourGamesIn\PrettyMiaDesires v0 3\PrettyMiaDesires.exe"
after that it should look like this:

I remember sharing the first build of this standalone female version of Sunbay City and to be honest $14.99 is really expensive, you can get other game builds for other projects for less. Also the changelog being locked behind a paywall doesn't help, I would like to know what I'm paying for.
Even the short games of EroticGamesClub doesn't have that pricetag and have more content as well, despite that those are more or less screenshot clickers. In this way i don't think this project will long last and the same is gonna happen with real life sunbay. It's one big mess alltogether. It's as they try first to bake a bread, then decide to switch for a cake, then implement bread so that it becomes cakebread, but then at the end it's split so that you get cake and bread. And the whole kitchen meanwhile looks like some disaster has happened.
