... also, hit left Alt, it highlights interactables :x
Well, nice. Had to disassemble my keyboard to find out my left alt was not touching contact groups(
Bu-u-ut, doors still don't highlights, which was the problem:
I'm not sure what the rock paper scissors example means exactly, do you mean we should have a like "High attack, low attack, medium attack" and the choice will auto-beat 1 of the 3 and negate for the 2nd or do half damage? Or certain characters just auto delete other characters based on their type?
As we are still working on the combat system and trying to figure out a happy area for it we are open to suggestions, but a bit more depth to this would help a lot?
Characters can be one of 4 colors. Red has +20% DMG against Green and -20% DMG against Blue opponents. Also, Melee units are always follow a color pattern - Red have swords, blue have spears, green - axes or hammers.
Grey colored units do not have any DMG bonuses.
In your case it can be elemental alignment and racial bonuses - scaly ones is nature element group, 20% resistant to fire element units and take more damage from cold type units, while furry ones
have bigger dicks is resistant to nature and vulnerable to fire (demonic/human species). Humans vulnerable to nature and resistant to cold. Undeads is neutral coz they don't give a fuck.
All units can be divided not only by colour but by class/move type - Infantry(move 2 steps), Armored (1 step, but have gigher defence), Cavalry(3 steps), flying(2 steps + ignoring most obstacles), beast type(if not standing close to non-beast, then transforms - stats up, some change move type) If near non beast, reverts.
long range units is mages, healers, archers and daggers
Healers, archers and daggers are usually grey with no color bonuses. Archers deal massive damage to flyers. Daggers nave archer type attacks but without bonus damage against flyers, but put debufss on their targets.
Additionally some characters can have special weapons or skills wich change their norman color/class vulnerability and bonuses.
In PFF case it can be classes or factions.
Or - there is even simplier version of battle system - there is a game
You must be registered to see the links
(original one, from 2002)
where each unit has element alignment and have bonuses accoringly to his element. Kust like colors in previous example, but there is more that 3 elements. No weapon type or move type dependancies, as far as I can remember.
Also... we have more players and a larger community than concord so, whatever.
Well, your characters have sex appeal, so PFF certainly will not follow concords fate.
