VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Price of Power [Ep.30] [Pandaman Games]

Ok, I had a blast with the game.

Laughed out loud a lot, especially on the narrator. Loved Maria, the story seems interesting.
My historical knowledge got really irked on a few things - mainly the stone buildings and the constant talk about hours and minutes (people rarely used exact time before the portable clock became a thing).
I love the theme of exploration, especially post-apocalyptic exploration, so... well, I am hopeful.
Overall, great work! Love it! Can't wait for the next part!

Very nice storytelling, and I really like the relationship with Maria. The characters are rich, deep, interesting... The setup also is great, with a living world around and lots of stuff going on. I loved it, it's very promising.

Review based on chapter 2

Good game so far. No lewd scenes yet (kissing, no nudity).

Very beautiful renders in a medieval fantasy. Nice to see someone who knows how to actually render the outdoors the forests look great normally authors go all out on characters and forget the setting (not that t he characters aren't beautiful).

Alternative medieval fantasy setting that takes place in some sort of earth type land (references to christian bible/bubonic plague but so far no real world locations and alternative historys) a genre that is sorely lacking. The setup for the heroes story is interesting and definitely leaves you wanting more.

Writing is about 4/5. The authors interjections are a little jarring at times though I know why hes doing them it could be more seamless and less 4th wall breaking.

VNs love virgins but for once its nice to see characters in an a medieval setting actually recognize the value of virginity in the time period (beyond the fact that yeah a virgin is sexy).

If you could rank games with half stars I would say this is a solid 4.5 and I'm interested in seeing where the author goes with it.

I enjoyed this. It's not the usual corruption/seduction pattern that commonly appears. The characters already want each other. You as the player don't need to do anything to change that and I don't think you could if you wanted to.

Instead the game gives us innocent/restrained flirting with a focus on the characters, while slipping small bits of information on the world into dialogue. I really appreciate that the thoughts of the other characters aren't shown/exposed directly.

With only three (four?) main characters introduced so far I don't dislike any of them. They all feel substantial and significant.

The main character feels more like another character in the story, and not something I control. Making me more of an observer. Normally I hate this, but it seems to work.

I suspect some drama will be created to shake up the relationship, but I hope it's not anything too frustrating or involving a rival man/woman. I really enjoy their innocence.

Renders are amazing. Story Plot is wholesome and the path choice Maria Only and Harem Path is a plus since not all players can relish in a 1-to-1 relationship. The progression of the story is slow but understandable because of the plot...So if you are looking for a quick fap you should wait at least the 2nd act before playing. The main character's relationship with the girl is too cute and amazing at the same time where you will not cringe. Just Play it's amazing

Beautiful artwork. Two very likeable main protagonists. Not sure that the occasional aside from the narrator adds anything for me – it feels like a conceit or self-indulgence and perforates the fourth wall. I hope the author does not feel the need to make this deteriorate into an unrepentant sex fest but continues to invest time and imagination in the story. Of course, we all want the two MCs to become lovers within the context of that story but the story should prevail.

First of all fantastic job Panadaman! I love it and I'm already hooked. First of all the setting I fucking love Medieval Fantasy probs my fave genre of all time so that already bumped this game up major points before I even played it. Secondly the renders... the renders are amazing and really Immersive you into the world, Maria is gorgeous and her character is well written and she is just lovable and i can't think of a better LI and traveling companion. The story so far is heartfelt and wholesome but very well developed and thought of I'm excited to see where it goes when the adventure begins. The dialogue is really nice allows you to get a feel for the character's personality really fast and start building a personal relationship with them. Really good job I'm very excited to see where this goes. Potential to be one of my faves for sure.

I feel that in a short period of time it will be one of the best games that have ever appeared on this site. I already feel in this game what I felt at the beginning of WVM, Vis and My new family, I feel greatness. It has very gorgeous renders and the relationship between Michael and Maria is very believable, romantic and cute. As Pandaman said there will be two route, "Only Maria" and "Harem", Maria is a wonderful character, pure, beautiful, cute, and very believable, and right now she is The Only One for MC, and it is very interesting how the harem path will look like, and how the MC's relationship with other girls will look like, because MC never thought of anyone else but her. it is very nice to know that dev have a fixed direction - 6 acts, 5 chapters each. I hope that you will be able to fit all your ideas there, and that other girls will not be left without attention, although only Maria will be enough, it is still very interesting how other female characters will enter into this relationship in your game, because judging by Maria, the girls in this game are highly moral. I strongly advise everyone to play this game, it is very heartwarming. Good luck Pandaman Games, continue in the same spirit, and do not abandon the game, I am confident in your success.

Pandaman has a story to tell. And thankfully for us it promises to have boobies. But this is a slow burn. You're gonna have to earn them boobs. We're talking emotional investment in characters and a story. Pandaman is in it for the long haul. Fortunately the route will be scenic. We haven't met a lot of characters yet, but it's a very promising start. Spoiler warning though, this is some wholesome hand-holding shit.

Narrative driven, beautiful models and scenes, 4 stars (there's some freaky cult backstory that seems creepy), I would eat here again.

Conclusion:
I never thought I would say it,but even with no sex scenes, I loved this game.
didn't know I had a romantic part in me,loved the settings and the sweet couple with different Background and upbringing.
I also must say that even if there is alot of reading evolved I never thought once about skipping lines,afraid of missing something.
Graphics,lighting,Background are Supered.

Overall:
A Hot Story, Great scenes.
Definitely worth the Download.

This is going to be the next big hit.

Excellent, compelling narrative. Beautiful renders, at turns tragic and heartwarming. I could not stop reading until it was done with this prologue. Quite a bit of content already. Without sex yet, or animations, it is hard to say whether it will ever achieve fap worthiness, but it is definitely one to look forward to either way

Beautiful setting, gorgeous renders, lots of content for a first release and the romance is in this one is really top notch. It's not often when romance is done this well in erogames but this one actually gets you invested. Highly recommended.

Brilliant start, Maria looks great and its refreshing to have non generic models. Pandaman has managed to combine excellent storytelling with a quirky "narrator" and mind-blowing renders. Looking forward to seeing where this game goes in the future and the characters of those yet to be met

CH1 Review:

Decent start.
Good grammar, punctuation, and spelling but text-heavy at the same time.
Renders are nice. The narrator is useless imo, and knowingly interrupts a kissing scene, which didn't make it any less annoying. Choices thus far weren't meaningful, but there are indications that they will matter later on.

I like the look of Maria, but she isn't all that interesting. On the flip side, the mc is a generic model you've probably seen a hundred times already. There was one animation, which should've been used in one of the kissing scenes.

I'd wait until another update before downloading as the end of the chapter indicates things are about to get interesting (finally).

Finally! A good, possibly great, game in the making based upon something other than peeking at my mom in the shower or meeting my "roommates" who seem to always wear nothing but micro bikini's in a town of only young females...

This appears to be the beginning of an "adult" game with a romantic, slow burn, excellent writing and story line (Haven't found a single Russian word!). Character models are also well done and attractive.

For those looking for a quick fap, may I suggest Porn hub... However, if an immersive, romantic tale is desired this may very well be the game for you. If the first update follows with the same success, I will definitely be a Patron supporter.

I'm (obviously) a sucker for romance. This is a slow-burn love story set in a medieval fantasy setting. But all isn't quite what it seems.

Gorgeous renders, snappy writing and lots of degenerate hand-holding.

This game has great potential, and is one I greatly look forward to following. It's not a 'quick fap' kind of game, but rather one that focuses on story, character development, and world-building. For that, I appreciate it even more, since that's a rarity in the AVN world these days.

The game is really good and has a lot of content for the reader to ponder over it. It has a slow build-up but it is extremely worth it. Maria and Michael are great main characters to have and the storyline between them although tragic is very heartwarming and romantic. I can't wait for future updates of the game as it's something that draws you in
