Try Sword x Hime for this, the gameplay is similar while combat is alot worse.

"Abbandoned" doesn't always mean the game development has stopped, it can be because the OP rights owner will not update anymore, here are two options I can suggest:
-Contact the OP's owner
-Make an official update request in the Games Requests thread
[Possible option is to someone who owns the game in steam to request the thread ownership to do the updates themselves]
