What happened with Gats? I only saw the post about the "famous monster girl game".
Gats didn't like the non-con elements in TKC, that's why he left and tried to take everything with him. We made sure to sign an agreement beforehand to avoid that, that's why we we won't be losing any of his assets.

He surely isn't one of the sharp tools in the box...

But that's our modern society problem. People don't want to talk anymore with each other about problems, they want easy money or not doing anything at all. But hey, internet for everyone.

Thats the second time I hear about devs trying to backstab each other on those games lol. At least you had some precautions before you started working together.

Shouldn't we be happy there's a game at all? In the end it doesn't matter who stole other peoples shit. They can sue each other till the end of time, it doesn't have to concern us.
If it hurts the development of this game, or other TowerGirls games I think it is worth notice.

>towerfag makes game where majority of content is being a cuck valet shipping your princesses around to collect semen
>implements complex system of finding animals, monsters, and human ejaculate to deliver for quests
>implements battlerape system where you princesses can be fucked by enemies their fighting
Is that representative of the game's actual content?
I don't particularly care who ripped off whom, that's for the people involved to sort out. I just want to know if cuckolding/NTR (or whatever the proper terminology may be) is a major part of this game.

In this circumstance and instance, I think that TF can use the commons and public resources to make the game as he and his company see it.

I don't know enough about this other game to comment, but threatening a lawsuit is usually a bad idea unless you can find the person, drag them to court, and win because you have a lot of money. And threatening anons on the internet is usually bad because they just trololol harder as they focus on you in any sense.

I'll hold off on anything else since I dunno the situation much, but an actual lawsuit just makes a bad situation worse.

There's some parts NTR that (from what I know) you can opt to use or not. You can make a princess a part of the brothel. You can decide to have a princess get sperm collected in a quest. You have siege mechanics where you can force some princesses to fight and save the one losing then corrupt her or someshit. What I'm saying is that it's in the game. You decide if you want to partake or no.

I think the anons have been harping on this for months last I recalled and you can't go to hgg without hearing one person talking about NTR every third post or somesuch.

So if you want to play it, it's up to you. If you want that aspect of the game to be in, up to you. Don't wanna do it? Again, your choice. Personally, I think some people have way too much times on their hands and... I'll digress here.

Alright. That stuff isn't really for me but as long as it's optional I'm fine with whatever.

I'm fully aware of their personal crusade, which is why I asked here.
Thanks for answering, I'll give this a try then.

The game doesn't shove anything in your face and gives you warning about the whole "Lust Points enabling rapes" thing.
Since v0.12.6b you're not even forced to use battlefucks to gather Sperm, there's a place where you can get your daily dose (needed for quests and, soon, usable as consumable items to influence a Princess' offsprings).

Hi all, I wanted to pop in and clear up some things as the ex-artist for Towergirls, since people making statements on my behalf leads to misunderstandings and as fans of the existing game, you guys have a right to know what's going on.

I left Kingdom Conquest for a lot of reasons, the final straw being Towerfag's unprofessionalism when representing Towergirls, something I created and love dearly, and the final final straw being discovering that 'battle-rape' was not only present in the game, but a fully-fleshed out mechanic that not only breaks Patreon's ToS (yes, even if you rename it) but actively destroys the image of these princesses that I've worked hard on over the years.

At the moment I'm working on the legal matters regarding this, so there isn't a whole lot I can divulge until things are said and done, but one thing I can say is that the assets Towerfag paid me for are still his. It's how he is using them that I have a personal issue with, and why this started in the first place. I offered an amicable break where he could have made his own property if he had so wished, featuring the princesses already implemented as cameos. No other interruption to his workflow beyond rebranding it to something besides Towergirls (even just 'Kingdom Conquest'), which would not have damaged numbers provided that his product was more than the name he decided to take for it. I offered this multiple times, and all accounts he refused. And so, here we are.

Before this gets too personal, I wanted to thank you guys for enjoying Towergirls and the art I've made for it, and I hope that in the future you'll remain fans of it. Whatever is between me and Towerfag will be resolved in due time, but for now, please take care in hearing both sides of the story so that you can decide for yourself how you feel about something that ultimately, to me, is an issue I take seriously.

I can understand feeling strongly about how your creations are used, no matter what the legal position is.
On the other hand, I had no idea Towergirls was such a strong brand that just changing the name would resolve all issues. I'm aware that some sort of CYOA game existed beforehand, but in all honesty, the name sounds generic as fuck (no offense).

None taken. Before Towergirls, there were very few articles under that name on the internet. I happened to take it first, and now googling it shows how it stands regardless of nomenclature.
The CYOA is definitely the same thing. Went from a solo-project to one that I was able to work on thanks to many helpful contributors, and one that I hope to continue working on in the future.

Maximum respect to Gats, but said features were in the game well (~6 months) before he signed to give us his help.

If I'm unprofessional or not I'll let the community I built around the game decide, only thing I will say is that I'd expect from the guy I ask to become the Lead Artist of a game I'm developing to at least know something about the game he's going to work on, most of all if based around a CYOA he greatly contributed to create.

About his "offerings", I never refused anything before he decided to DMCA the project he worked on for 6 months, like a true professionist would.

I'd also like to know what the portrait artist of CoC and TiTS has to say about fictional-non-consensual-sex, but I've yet to recieve an answer.

Not sure how this is related to Towergirls in any way, but I'd have to assume that the artist is into it or at the very least doesn't mind it. I mean nobody in their right mind would sign up to do art for CoC (or any later project like TiTS) if they weren't cool with "fictional-non-consensual-sex".

That's what I'm getting at, since Gats seems so opposed to fictional non-con, I don't understand how he has no problems advertising himself as the portrait artist of Fenoxo's (awesome) games.
I'm sure he has his reasons, though.

My bad, I wasn't aware that he worked on those too.

The difference might be that for Fenoxo he's just providing art for somebody else's project, while he feels that Towergirls is his baby that he doesn't want to be messed with.

I thought that might have been the case. That's why I packed in a simple switch one can turn ON/OFF if he's offended by any that content.

People take themselves too seriously and get offended too easily nowadays.

Look, I'm just a random guy on the outside looking in and not trying to take sides. I'm not even a patron so my opinion wouldn't matter even if I was taking sides.

That said, I sort of understand where I think Gats is coming from.
As a gamer I don't give a shit about non-con content as long as I can turn it off, but if I had been working passionately on Towergirls in some form or other for a long time I would probably feel differently, even if it was completely optional stuff.
The only question for me is whether he knew about (plans for) that content in advance, in which case I don't understand why he signed up, or if that was thought up and implemented without his knowledge, which would make it an issue of who has the rights to do what with the game.

Obviously I don't have any definitive answers and I speak for nobody but myself. Still, thanks for replying.

Sure, I wouldn't force anyone to take a side either!

Said features were already in the game and WELL advertised on both the Patreon and Blog page, since August 2016, while our former-Lead Artist joined in March 2017.

Then I have to wonder why he didn't bring it up before agreeing to anything.
Whatever the case may be, this has been an interesting read. I hope you'll be able to find an amicable solution.

I'm also cool with most content as long as it can be turned off or avoided, which I believe is what happens on Towergirls. Funny you guys mention Fen games, thats where I started on the porn games "hobby" and I think thats what made me be cool torwards a lot of content, theres just so much "weird" stuff on those games, so I don't even really understand why people can get upset over a few fetishes but be cool with others that imo seems just as "hardcore". That being said I would still respect if they didn't want to interact with it in any way, though.

I'd also like to thank you Gats for showing up and telling us about your side, I was really curious for more information on what happened. You really didn't knew Towergirls would have stuff like that when you joined the team? The first thing I thought when I saw the notice you had joined the team was "oh hey, that looks like a project Gats would work on."
