I looked up how the Shifting Core accessory works. Before I start, here's what Tower had to say about it when it was put in the game.
I love the Black Cat Jar and the Shifting Core deeply, so I've made them difficult to get (the Jar) and difficult to understand (the Core)!

This is what I get off to
Whenever a progeny equipped with the core takes Hot, Cold, or Poison environmental damage, there's a 2% chance for the progeny to gain resistance to that element. This consumes the core.

But! The flag the core sets is also used by the Chunga Root and Torquoise Piercing, and will overwrite the old resistance if it's there. So if you used the Piercing to get a swimming progeny, then don't equip them with the core.

I think this is polished enough to release. Here's a build of mkxp-z with some still rather experimental features and add-on scripts. Windows only, for now. Just extract the contents of the archive into the game folder and run mkxp-z.exe to play.

Be sure to open up preloader_Global_Variables in a text editor to configure a few settings.

Features:
  • Much better performance on weak computers.
  • Mod support.
  • Steam integration. (You have to set the variable in preloader_Global_Variables yourself, though. GPL nonsense)
  • If I feel like it, I can release incremental updates so other people don't have to redownload over a gigabyte to update. Probably not to this mega folder, though.
  • Some pre-provided mods, mostly compatibility stuff, a few bug fixes.
  • Optional save file compression, in case you want to use a lot of save slots and would rather they only take up 6mb instead of 90mb. You can turn off compression and run mkxp-z again to decompress them if you want to go back to the official engine.
  • A cheat menu accessed via F7 based on an older cheat menu from Joiplay.
  • Press the backtick key ` (on US keyboards, at least, I don't know about other ones) to hide and unhide message boxes.
  • Cheats are automatically enabled and don't turn off achievements. The teleport cheat has also been moved to the front of the menu.
The scripts should work for Joiplay, too, although the update loader is disabled for it. A hack I'm using in the backport code to play audio crashes RPGMPlugin 1.20.70 and later. An archive with just the scripts has been provided.

Updated my mkxp-z release. Fixed the item sorter, added some more config options, and added an archive with just the scripts for Joiplay. For Joiplay, use the loose file version if the extra startup time from having the dynamic scripts in an archive is unacceptable. I just prefer to keep it packed so I can easily delete scripts in updates if necessary.

Just put the archive contents in the game directory. Joiplay automatically runs preload.rb if it's present. The non-loose version will make the game take longer to start from having to rebuild the path cache to mount the scripts archive, but it shouldn't be too long unless you've been unpacking the game files or using the compressed version someone's been releasing here.

Edit: I just tested Joiplay and rebuilding the path cache took 11 seconds for me, which isn't too bad. I say just use the non-loose version and turn on the prebuilt path cache if it's not already to skip initially building it, most of the problems people have had with Joiplay have probably been from updating in place with the prebuilt path cache on anyway.

So I it's been 1 hr it takes too long to load I'm not exaggerating it's been really 1hr or less
Edit : it's been 45min for some reason it works and takes to long I think it's dependant on devices to load it faster

It definitely shouldn't take that long unless you have the rgss3a archive extracted/decrypted. Delete the dynamic_scripts.zip file and try the loose version, then.

Bred progeny can only be chubby by inheriting the flag from their mother. It can't be inherited from a princess, though - you need to find and recruit a chubby NPC to get it.
Is this fixable? None of the times I've given a pregnant princess Queen's Milk has ever resulted in chubby/thicc progeny.

Not without modding the game. From what I could tell from the code (and adding debug statements to it everywhere the flag is set), Queen's Milk has a 1/3 chance of giving the daughters of princesses who are still on their throne the flag, but I don't know of any way of recruiting them. It's just a weird flavor thing. Someone would have to tell Towerfag it only applies to throned princesses to get one that way. Clones of thicc princesses don't get the flag, either.

There is one alternative way of getting chubby progeny of arbitrary races. With positive kingdom life force the slime reign's power pearl can turn undead progeny into any living race, and they'll keep the flag if they have it. If you're fine with using glitches, there's a trick you can do with the Clockwork Core where if you equip it to one progeny, activate it by leaving the menu, and then unequip it and equip it to a different one before closing the menu the game will get confused about who's wearing it and transform the first progeny. Then every time the world map is entered, progeny box is closed, or level up menu is closed the core will re-proc, allowing you to spam use the power pearl until you get a race you want. Then just clone the progeny and you'll get one that isn't affected by the core to breed.

Without glitches your options are a lot of running back and forth between the pearl and tavern, getting a lot of cash and buying Pocket Power Pearls from Pruna (5000 each, so only 19 per trip), or just save scumming in front of the pearl (which is probably almost as fast as the glitch method).

Any idea when will this game get completed ? Or atleast when would Mermaid p's route get completed ? The deep investigation mission has been stuck at visiting the old barnacle a second time.
