Hi,

I'm a professional writer who has been working in the visual novel scene for almost three years now.

Some of my published works include One Night Stand and The best days of our lives.

---

Currently, I'm looking to work on a short visual novel (or comics) project that can be completed within 2-3 months.

(Note: Whether you're a 3D artist or a 2D artist, we can work at whatever pace you think is right to complete a short game/comic within those 2-3 months.

So, whether you make 60 renders a month or 300 renders a month, I will make sure the writing is delivered early enough for you to complete those renders on time.)

---

Full disclosure though, being a short project, this probably won't be a great source of income.

But if you're a newcomer who wants to tip your toes into the scene, or someone who's looking to dust off your skills, then I believe I'm a pretty good catch in terms of a writing partner :)

Still, as the title says, I will work for free on this one. So, whether you decide to go the crowdfunding route or directly publish it on a mainstream platform, I don't need need any share from the revenue.

[PS: In case of Visual Novels, I can take care of the coding too.]

---

MY ONLY CONDITIONS ARE:

1. The game/comic must be story-driven

(So, no porn-logic, or stories involving "landladies and tenants" )

2. I will have the final say on the story side of things
(Of course, I'd be more than happy to discuss with the artist to get a feel of what he/she likes and write a story that caters to both our tastes, but the final call on "what the actual plot is" and "how a scene plays" will have to be mine. Likewise, the artist will have the final say on the visual side of things)

3. The game must also have a SFW version
Of course, we can have sex scene(s) in there, but there will also be an additional version where the explicit scenes are cut.

4. I must be properly credited as the writer of the game/comic

---

Skills:

- Writing character driven dramas
- I also specialize in writing slice-of-life stories with a touch of humor

---

Preferred method of contact:

- We can have the initial conversations here at f95 (DM me) and once we finalize on working together, we can move over to Discord.

---

Availability:

- Currently, I'm already working on two visual novels (and also have to deal with a full-time job). So it might take a day or a half for me to respond to your messages, but rest assured, completing the script itself will be a top priority and you'll get constant updates from me regarding the progress.

---

Work Samples:
- Check the game links at the top of this thread.

---

Additional comments:

- The primary reason I'm looking to take up such a project is because
I'm looking to build a NEW/UPDATED portfolio to showcase my creative writing in more mainstream areas. (Hence, the whole working for free and the request for an SFW version.)

- So, if you want to work on a game without any sex scenes AT ALL, then I'd be more than happy to write that too.

Damn, I could have done with your help about half a year back when I set out to create short story-driven games with a focus on story & more slice of life situations, but that project didn't get anywhere unfortunately as (without pointing actual fingers) the writer we had was constantly busy & barely ended up writing anything & so I pitched my main game idea to one of the artists & we've been working on that.

I could still really do with a writer, but unfortunately, it's a long-term project that will require multiple years to develop & finish - I do have a manga/doujinshi short skit series side project that I want to do for the game, but it's not SFW & due to them being skits there's not really much time to create rich story-lines/plots or character development.

Which brings me to my point in writing this message. It's nice that you are offering your services for free, but I don't understand the SFW aspect of it as this website/forum is for NSFW adult games. Wouldn't it be better to offer your services on a vanilla game dev discord server/forum/reddit for short story-driven visual novels & comics or something?

Anyway, good luck & happy developing/writing. :)

Working on a game that is heavily writing (and good writing-driven) in Twine about to have its first release. Let me know if you'd be interested!

If you've not fully stacked with new projects in your schedule- then let me know plz! Our team is working on fantasy adventure with a complex lore right now and we have some drafts already, but we're lacking some writing experience.

My best wishes for your project :)

As for my "I also need an alternate SFW version" request, I just had three reasons.

1. Since I already said I'm okay with NSFW content (and only need an "extra" version without the said content), I figured those who would want to work on NSFW games would be fine with my request - as both of us get what we want.

2. f95 allows non-sexual games as well ("no sexual content" is a usable tag in the site), so it didn't feel too out of place to request for the "extra" SFW version.

3. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, among the limited no. of forums/sites I'm aware, f95 has the most active audience who are open to collaborations and properly engage with creator threads/offers.

(Please correct me if I'm wrong, but judging by your words) I'm assuming this is a fairly "big" project you're talking about. In which case, I'm afraid I cannot help you, as I'm only looking to take up a short project due to my limited time.

However, IF IT IS A SHORT PROJECT (that can be completed in 2-3 months), please send me a DM and we can discuss this further over there.

Aye, it kind of sucks that a site where they rip & distribute people's games for free is one of the most active places to go to look for help.

I was more thinking along the lines of there's writing & then there's someone having to potentially create extra artwork & other things just for an SFW version, because it's potentially twice the work.

In regards to number 3, you are correct in that as I've noticed over the past 10+ years that I've been doing freelance game development a large majority of indie SFW game devs want to do everything by themselves - a bunch of them afterward have come to me & said they wish they'd asked/looked for help back while they were still working on their game. I believe that with a lot of them, it's some kind of pride mentality where they can't pat themselves on the back x years later when they finally finish (if they stick with it) their game & say "I made that". NSFW game developers on the other hand seem to be a lot more willing to work together, but trying to find the people you want to work with seems to be tricky - especially if it's a shared project route & you can't afford to hire freelance from the start.

Oh, the SFW version WILL NOT need a completely different set of renders or script.

It's just that the SFW version will cut off the explicit scenes (like Summer's End) :)

I've been in the very same place, albeit for a different reason. I did not have enough trust in others to have the same commitment towards my projects as I did. (Which in hindsight kinda turned out to be true in some cases.)

Still, I'm really glad that I happened across f95. It really is comforting/reassuring to know that finding passionate collaborators is an actual possibility and not a pipe dream (even when you can only afford a revenue-share system.)

Aye, that's true. It's very hard to find people who share the same enthusiasm as you/the creator of a project, especially if it's for an original project &/or there's no immediate & constant incentive to keep them motivated & focused on a project. With shared SFW projects it's more or less impossible unless it's a fan project of an existing IP & all members of the team involved are very passionate about that. I've been burned a few times over the years with royalty-based SFW projects & so I never do them anymore, but NSFW projects have a much better chance of receiving constant funds due to the sheer amount of pervs there are online that are willing to fork over money for things they might not get to experience in real life or see in regular porn - it's certainly a lot different to SFW development & it's fun, but it's certainly a lot harder to get started if you can't do the graphics/art yourself, lack seeding money & you are a bit picky about things.

Yep, that's going to be a big project. We're thinking about an episodic system, in the style of a POV scenario, but right now it's just an introduction where there's no MC. Honestly, we need a consulting, although it could be your regular project. Either way, we'd welcome any contribution on the way.
BTW, I cannot DM you due to the restrictions on your profile. Or maybe i'm just dumb lol.

I do have an idea for a short story, it would include 2 girls and 1 guy..however we can add more women. It would be one of a kind in a way...it would be slightly femdom oriented. If you are interested you could hear it out,if anything is like your opinion on it. Let me know :)
