If I'm not mistaken you need to go to the middle of this area (instead to directly to the lurker) and collect an item on the ground that allows you to craft a light bomb, then you go closer to the lurker and it will have glowing sparkles (to interact) on the ground and then you put the bomb there, attack it and done.
Glitch, you have 2 loss scenes from the flying insects, the footsteps you are hearing are from the mechanic of trying to escape while weakened, but in your game the screen is frozen, after the second loss you restart the expedition.
Devs have stated that the issue is complex and the quicker fixes that they've tried make it better for some and worse for others. It's going to be a while, I think, before the game runs smoothly.
It's still in development and only Act 1 so not the "full" game but yeah not the demo anymore
The grind is pretty rough for getting to the end boss. Wish there were more scenes, the ones present are of very good quality in my eyes, definitely slow to progress at just about every point of the story, between grinding materials to craft and build and building up renown it's definitely a bit on the slow side.
It's easy to edit the inventory space with saveeditonline. LUK is responsible for the inventory size. And editing other stats will make the game a cakewalk.
after a few nights Kivu will say "this place seems safe enough" then there will be glowflies that appear around camp, interact with them to improve your shelter
the fisherman sells them. to unlock the fisherman, you need three braided ropes. go to the stream level, then go down from where the charger burst in, then go to the zone on the right. there should be an interact point to put the ropes on.

then youve unlocked to cave and the fisherman. once he starts showing up around your camp (like the merchant and the shaman) he sells buckets
With MTool you can edit any stat, value, item just in time ingame. Far better IMO.
To each their own. More ways to ease the grind, the better. Not everyone knows about them too.
