It's called like that because it's made with the game called Honey select,there are hs 1 and hs 2 and they look pretty different compared to each other.
There is also koikatsu - shortly KK,another game from the same studio,but it looks more like an anime,here's an example

So the games using hs are separate from the actual hs game right? Sorry for the dumb question I'm just a little confused. And I also like that style too. Do you know of any posts that have games like the one you listed?

Yep,hs are 3D games with customisation,for both of games,there is a thing like Studio Neo,which you need to use to create custom scenes,animations,etc for hs.But with the mods,studio neo becomes a rendering engine,which allows you to create renders,so,basically,by hs style we mean renders made in studio neo(Simply,render is just a screenshot)

It's 2DCG, but 'quality' rhymes with 'Good Girl Gone Bad'. Plus its graphic design is so fine and peculiar, and leaves nothing to the imagination; it just adds a lot in terms of possibilities to define your character's path and customise her. Strongly recommended!
