He spoke a bit about the overall state of the game in his weekly post :
So basically, much of the drawing / coding / writing is done, and game starts to be playable from begining to end.
Apparently, what's left is : debugging, write / draw / code final ending, add sounds and achievements.

I'm not agree with you he show proof of life every monday. He give us informations on the advancement. I think IS game IS slow to realese because IS a Big game one shot After it's a finished game no update every months .
I usually don't comment on these threads cause wtf why would I. BUT i really don't like that you said hes "milking his fanbase", cause if theres ONE creator that stands miles above the rest, its Akabur. Here I'll list why hes the GOAT:
1. His patreon is "free" i mean you don't get to see the "Extra" posts (not that its much to see anyways, but to see that its 1dollar aka the minimum amount) but its free to track the progress of his games. Which doesn't sound like a lot, but its more common for creators to have that behind a paywall.
2. Not only that, but he has a consistent Monday update at the same ish time every Monday, so you don't even have to guess when new info is coming out, its in the Monday update. Which is sorely missed when it comes to a lot of creators, a frequent update on the games progress at a consistent rate, oh and yea FREE
3. He has made 3 decent length games and 1 short game which are all downloadable for free on his page

4. 2 of which (princess and witch trainer) being so well done that trainer games after that owe a lot of their success to Akabur. The man is basically the god of the genre.
5. Oh and Witch trainer, the game Innocent witches basically took all their inspiration from. Not just that, but it has one of the most popular mods on the entire site. the dude making the mod has 1800 patreons about the same as Akabur.
IMO criticizing creators who charge a lot and show little result is fair game. but i mean criticizing a creator whos made banger after banger when he is letting you play them for free is just stupid.

Banger after banger? The fuck are you talking about, are you delusional or something? Princess Trainer is a great game, it deserves all the praise it rightfully gets, but Witch Trainer is flawed beyond belief. Very little actual sexual content, grindy as fuck even with cheats and it's shorter than Princess Trainer, even in its base, not counting the Gold Edition.
People really need to stop taking mods of WT as if Akabur was deserving of praise for them, that's absurd. It'd be like praising Bethesda games for having fans fix their broken shit, or fans making Pokemon rom hacks that improve everything about the original games.
Innocent Witches taking inspiration from it also doesn't speak of the original game's quality, just the fact that it opened the gates for more imitators. Something can be of low quality while still being influential, it only needs a good premise that fails to deliver on its potential, which is what WT did.
And Star Channel 34? Better than WT for sure, but that's a very low bar to cross. That game was still riddled with the same problems that plagued WT, grind and lack of sexual content, just spread over multiple heroines instead of just 1.
Akabur is a great artist, a good writer and a decent game developer, but the man peaked with Princess Trainer Gold Edition and every single one of his projects afterwards has failed to come close to its greatness, much less match or exceed it. Time will only tell if Queen Trainer will do the same.
Why wouldn't he deserve some credit for the WT mod, comparing it to bethesda is insane considering how theyve tried to fuck with the modding community more than once. He is letting someone else profit off of his work, he could have gone a totally different way with that.
My main point around why akabur is great basically boils down to the fact that its free. It costs NOTHING, he is doing this almost entirely by himself and he is not even charging you. and you go "well actually this and that could have been better" even tho what you are getting cost you nothing. F95zone being where you can just pirate the games for free might have warped yalls mind, cause having someone provide you with product after product for free should absolutely affect the way you view the product

Whether the people are profiting off from his work or not is irrelevant to me, I'm talking about the product itself.
It does change my view, if it wasn't free I would shit on Witch Trainer even harder.
