April and Ashley is great, But I cant see a way for them to have their own trainer as main characters, they are no where near as big as Jasmine or Hermione.

how is april not as big as jasmin? turtles is still a relevant IP today while aladdin is pretty much dead as a franchise aside of the awful live action movie everybody hated.
what he needs to do in my opinion is make another trainer game, focus on one character (because that way he can create enough non chibi art so at least one character is satisfying) and focus on corruption. basically witch trainer but without cutting corners this time.

Nah mate, I don't think this guy is able to learn on anything or he just doesn't care at all. Back when The Witch Trainer was released, Akabur got tons of hate due to how bad the game was in terms of content. He lost more than 50% of his income on patreon since then. What do you think he did with all this experience? Right, added more pointless game mechanics and chibis to Princess Trainer Gold Edition. Then SC34 where all girls' acitivities like dance, strip, webcam stuff are chibis again. Then there's QT, which I don't even want to talk about.
The guy loooooves them fucking chibis, this shit won't go anywhere. Same with the side game mechanics. He'd rather spend another 3 years on adding rpg fighting system and moon phases or other shit like that to QT Gold Edition than draw a few CGs. So no, I don't believe any feedback would affect his vision. He'll keep doing the same crap he did before and nothing will change.

But what's all that "Akabur sucks now!", "Bring back the old Akabur", etc. about? Witch Trainer is pretty much the fan favorite and it was all Chibi all the time, relentless grind, and only ending CGs. What did folks expect? That Akabur would suddenly make a game that's unlike the games he's making? If there's anything he changed about previous games, it that this one features actually working game mechanics - that's a first. Aside from that it's really the kind of game one would expect from Akabur.
Or did people think he'd suddenly make Witch Trainer Silver, only with his much higher quality art, as if that was doable for a project of his size? I don't get it...

That was broken hearts bordello right? Wasn't the problem with that one, that basically Akabur was doing 80% of the art, and that way it obviously couldn't go anywhere, if you consider Akaburs creation process.

yeah that was it. the thing is, if it's a porn game and you are just describing things via text without showing it like for example "so and so got her tits out and then they fucked" it just sucks. that was what broken hearts bordello suffered from massively and that's my problem with QT. it's butter scraped over too much bread.

I totally see that. And if your going for porn, Akabur probably isn't your best option - not by a far.
His niche is more like adult oriented erotika with a main focus on the comedy. When you're in the mood for that you'll have a good time. If on the other hand you're sitting they're like "Damm, fuck already, what the hell!" - than he'll only frustrate you.
I know from experience I played his games in both moods.
Mutant Ninja Turtles is nowhere near as big as Aladin. Turtle is big, in US, but Aladin is among biggest films of all time, either top 5,10 or 20 globally, and films goes around more than localized tv/comic series. People of any age and gender, anywhere, anytime for the last 30 years, would recognize Aladdin more then Turtle Ninja, by a huge magnitude.
Turtles also has reboot and remake that didnt take off or hated, just like Aladdin.
And while the porn industry has their own preferences, Jasmine is still favored. there are far more Jasmine than April porn.
And Jasmine is also writer's favorites, I havents seen April but way too much Jasmine fanfics, not only in tumblr.
Pretty sure doubling down on a single 1 characters without anyone else was Witch Trainer's top complains. He did made it work but it would have been better if there was a "world" and side characters to walk around like Princess Trainer. There a mod for that and it become real popular.

I would like to add that in comparison to April, or Jasmin, Hermione is an hole other level of recognizeability - so the one character he choose is like uber tier from a brand recognition standpoint.

yeah i agree with what you said but i can say at least for me WT und PTG were great porn games and while WT could have used more CG, the art that was there + the writing delivered for me. SC34 is where it started for me that akabur stopped delivering in the porn aspect. big part of it might have been the big focus on slowly corrupting hermione which is for sure my favourite thing in porn games.

I can see that. If corruption specifically is your thing that's kinda obvious. For the longest time PT and WT didn't work for me at all. It was, to much text (skip), to much grind, not enough porn, and a bunch of pseudo RPG mechanics - I would much rather have had something straight forward all porn, all the time, like Mating Season.
For me it actually clicked with Star Channel - hey this is really funny, the text is actually worth reading, the porn is kinda secondary. And as I went back to the other games with that change in mind I actually enjoyed them - because they had been funny all along. And the sex obviously is in there - it's just if you measure it by play time it takes up a small double digits percentage.
But that's kinda alright with me. I enjoy the games a lot by taking them for what they are.
PS: Great choice of avatar by the way, I wonder if anybody remembers the Sex Kitten series still.

The newer versions of the TMNT do not feature the version of April that people find attractive and want to fuck. The latest media to feature that version is the TMNT beat 'em up game from 2022.

1987 TMNT April, is definitely my favorite - but c'mon she's not the only April people wanna fuck.
The comics version for sure, both of the original movies versions no doubt, also Emo April from the 03 cartoon definitely get's some love.
Both Megan Fox and Sarah Michelle Gellar were also April O'Neil - do people still find them attractive?
I wouldn't even go so far as to claim that the kids versions of the character are safe from online hornyness. Definitely not the 2012 version.
The beat 'em up, was awesome by the way. Even got the DLC.

No clue how the poll is going - if anybody knows please tell.
Don't think the preliminary results are to surprising though. The game is done for moment - had Akabur wanted or his patrons had insisted he would just have taken another half a year to year to implement more stuff.
Seems to me at least Akabur is momentarily done with everything he wanted to have in QT. There are most certainly other ideas he has for the game, but none of them are at the stage where they can just be implemented and they are most likely half-baked at best. Makes sense to take a step back and return to the project with fresh eyes and restored creativity at a later date.
A lot of patrons will probably think something akin to these ideas.
Or like me, they just want to finally know where that SC34 story goes - since that seemed to be doing well in the polls
. Whatever his roadmap for that project is, I believe after letting it sit dormant for 3 years it's at the stage where he can work on it productively and enjoy the process.

SC34 Season 2: 48%, "April or Lara or Ashelin Trainer (Or something else.)": 35%, QT Gold: 18%.
From writing standpoints I'm intrigued to see how he would cook a April or Ashelin story, since they simply dont have much room to work with as a mc.
Safe bet would be Lara Croft or Cornelia trainer with the 2 as side.
