[Not-The-Point] First of all, no hate @ the NTR fans. I get that its a valid kink and that lots of you have a diverse set of reasons for being into it.
[Not-The-Point] I beg that you put yourselves in the shoes of many others who find it psychologically disturbing, and very distracting from many other kinks that can be found in the darker side of H games. Dark H games with all the great art and great VAs with high production quality.
[Not-The-Point] This isn't a suggestion that NTR games be less about NTR, or have the NTR elements diminished, or that there should be fewer NTR games.
[The-Point] This is a question mostly for game developers, for an NTR game, or for a game that has NTR or cheating elements, how much time/money/energy would be required to simply remove those elements (if necessary), or change them so that the person being cheated on/cucked/NTR'd isn't part of the story in a big way?
I've done an analysis of this for my favorite H game of all time, Taimanin Yukikaze 1, because I know it pretty intimately by now, and theres so many aspects of it that I love love love.
In this game, Tatsurou Akiyama, the NTR character, does have a lot of dialog focused at him, by him, and 1 particular scene he is tightly integrated into. I played through the whole game twice making detailed notes about where the NTR was mentioned, featured, or based around.
I had actually developed a plan to de-NTR Taimanin Yukikaze 1 that would actually go unnoticed for people who don't speak Japanese. For people that rely on english subtitle packs from Rattanman, for example, its possible to almost completely delete Tatsurou from the game with nothing other than modifying the script and scene manifest files. This works because for those of us that don't know what the japanese VA's are saying anyways, they may as well be saying what the english subtitles say is going on.
There is even a way to keep the scenes that Tatsurou is featured in, in the game, by simply making him a no-named Taimanin agent checking up on Yuki and Rinko's mission.
Now, I never went through with this, because I just have solution for removing the distraction of Tatsurou that works well enough for me, and modifying the script and scene manifest files manually is so meticulous and monotonous labour that its just not worth it to do for myself.
But for those of you who have developed games and do have powerful game editing tools, how much extra effort do you think it would take to thanos-snap the NTR from a game? How much voice acting would typically be cut or need to be recorded with more than more flavor? Would it be a monumental task?
Do you think it could be a profitable feature to include as a premium for those who typically avoid NTR but enjoy dark H?
Thanks!
