How does editing Rags file work? If I edit a Rags game to modify a switch/flag for an event do I have to play the whole game from the start or can I load the save file from an unmodified game where I am at the point where that particular flag should be triggered? Would the modified flag run as modified or as originally made out before the mod?
So this is the flag I turned on in Tales of the Drunken Cowboy. This is the part where Celeste and her friends are caught by The Nice Guy and they have to escape. Here a part comes where the perspective of the player changes from Celeste to either Jane or Darenzia based on a choice. If Darenzia is chosen and when she escapes from the air ducts I modified the flag for it to change to Jane's turn (which normally would only come if Jane was chosen specifically)
I saved the game and opened it up, loaded my save file from the original game where I am at the vault and after stealing from it the whole floor fills up with gas. I find the air duct and go through it but I still end up being Celeste instead of Jane. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong since there aren't any other variables being checked in there nor are there any variables or conditions placed in at Jane's turn either.
Do the modified flags work with a new game or can a save from the original work too? I had similar problems but since I wasn't that far in the other game I started a new game, but I'm way too far away to start anew in this one.
