RPGM - Completed - RaiOhGar: Asuka and the King of Steel [v1.04] [GapTax/Kagura Games]

I want to give this 4 stars but the game itself isn't as good as it could be despite having the potential.

First and foremost, the art and erotic content is amazing. The art is what attracted me to this game in the first place. It looks like a professional tier eroge and the erotic variety is on par as well.

The gameplay though, it's pretty so-so. There's a good concept here where you can play the female and the male separately, and if you want to be a cheating whore you can do that or if you want to simulate a netorare experience you can play the guy. This system works perfectly.

The bad part of the gameplay is how mundane the entire living situation is. There's not really much to do aside from unlocking scenes in the town. Talking to certain characters does unlock certain endings, but even that is fairly flat. Aside from four characters (including the playable ones) almost every character is flat and generic.

The story is so dumb it's laughable. To summarize, the villains decide to occupy an island and your protagonists are sent in to stop them. The hilarious thing is despite the female character being a hero and trying to save these people they still try to corrupt her. Imagine if you're critically injured and there's only one doctor who can save your life, but you end up stealing money from him which upsets him. The guys on the in game island are so dumb they're willing to corrupt our heroes just because one of them is super hot.

Overall, I did enjoy the game despite it feeling somewhat flat. There's roughly 3-4 hours of content in this game, but you'll probably play much longer to see the different endings. The art is also gorgeous.

Worth a shot.

Alright let's do this review. Ok this is an NTR game 100% and you cant avoid it. So aside from that I give this a 5 out of 5 based on my personal enjoyment of the game. I know I give out 5 out of 5s in just about every game but its because I really enjoyed them. (See my profile for more explanations)


Story - 5 out of 5
The story is pretty straightforward. Corruption routes are great and its not too slow and the development is great all throughout. The overarcing plot is magnificent to say the least.

Characters - 5 out of 5

The NTR characters are also great. Love each individual has a diff way of corrupting the MC. Also there are side characters too which is a major surprise for me and they also have their own unique dialoge.

H Scenes - 4 out of 5

H scenes are great, wish there were more variety in each scenes though but overall its fantastic. Wish there were more lesbian scenes or 2 girls GB by guys but I didnt deduct the point for that.

Gameplay - 5 out of 5

Easy game also 0 grind. You can cheese the enemies if you want. Point and click no puzzles and getting the scenes are pretty straightforward.

Improvements:
Here are just a list of QOL improvements and suggestions I would like to see in their future games though I doubt they'll read this haha.

1) Again the skip scenes or a scene selector mode similar to Treasure of Nadia but appears at the start. Maybe the options goes like, play as normal ; scene 1; scene 2 etc ; END

2) More threesome or Harem stuff - now this is more fetish based but I like threesome incest etc

3) More fetishes - like am a foot lover so IDK personal preference, add more fetishes, BDSM etc.

4) Last and this might be hard, increase the H scenes or scenario without decreasing the quality or shortening the time.

I've played many RPGM games, including a lot of Kagura ones, and sadly this is among the worst despite a good setting.

Combat and how scenes are obtained are the bulk of the game, and those are both really disappointing.

Starting with scenes; You just kinda walk around talking to random people because one guy took a completely explainable accidental picture of a person you just met with an erection in a bath and then told you to suck n' fuck dick, so you now just go out of your way to suck every dick in town, usually with the same boring scene as the last ones. With 7-8 mostly passable progressive and changing scenes from specific people. - Speak, sleep, speak, sleep, etc.

Combat is bare bones and generic RPGM with zero innovations and not even a reward for killing enemies other than the boss' scrap to get mech upgrades. Also, you get a total of 5 moves at max level. Literally pointless, I just ran past all enemies to the bosses, spammed Z and won, then all but the last one just teleport you back to your house and skip a day and tick a box. No cutscenes or anything of note.

It just feels old and dated, like they just made a town and put down some people-shaped markers to flag a scene, rather than actually think about the fact that people downloaded a game, not a boring picture book.

A great game with a solid amount of content. Watching the heroine's slow-ish-paced corruption from the DVDs is great and there is a decent amount of content for it. My only gripe is that in most of the paths the player doesn't confront the Asuka.

So, I've finally played RaiOhGar, a very famed NTR game and I've to say I'm kinda disappointed. I've played the other GapTax game called Agent Leona which is pretty much a prototype for this game, even the town layout and some scenario ideas are the exact same. And to my disappointment the devs didn't do as much they could've done with the idea and the premise imo.

The gameplay is standard RPGM fair, nothing unique or amazing about and it's kept simple which I can't really complain about. The story is also very stereotypical japanese NTR writing, you can even predict who's the bad guy and how the story will end (corruption ending) if you'r even slightly familiar with this specific style of cuckoldry writing.
Where the game fails is the scenario design/writing and the structure. First of half the the pre-ending scenarios in this game are mostly copy pasted with no major variation whatsoever. What you've seen in the first half of the game is what you will be seeing for the rest of the game for the most part with very slight variations. What changes is the dialogue as the heroine's corruption progresses. And this leads to to reusing of most of the CGs the game has to offer over and over again with very minor changes, which massively contributes to the repetitiveness of the game. As for structure the game doesn't have one and it makes the whole experience very disjointed. You just do random battles or the mech upgrade to pass the day and then go around house to house to interact and wade through boring NPC dialogue to see a CG that you've already seen 20 times before. And I'd rather not talk about the other female character and how much of a wasted opportunity she was with her lack of involvement in the story and mostly repurposed CGs for the few scenes she get. I should also mention that the main tool of her corruption which is a sensitive photo of her has no gameplay purpose. The NPCs use it as a leverage to blackmail the heroine and threatens with it which leads to her slow corruption but there's no consequence for not obeying them as the game just adds random numbers to her sexual interaction count as days progress, a very wasted opportunity for having branching paths or other endings, scenarios etc imo. Surprisingly the post game (corruption ending) content is pretty diverse if low. You get a few scenes but for the most part they aren't as repetitive as the rest of the content albeit with the aforementioned "going house to house and clicking on NPCs to see scene structure".

Playing two of their games it seems to me this is the structure and tier of writing one should expect from GapTax in the future since all of their games seems to follow it too. I honestly love the art and character design they do but the repetitiveness of their games keeps me from enjoying em. Wish I could write this review on DLsite instead or somewhere the devs could see. Even if the see and ignore the issues this may change their approach to design later on (hopefully).

As for recommendation, I'd say yes give it a try assuming you're aware of the NTR content but don't expect much from it.

The best NTR games I found so far. And I've tried many.
The art is ok, a bit outdated but it grows on you. Gameplay is very straight forward, nothing fancy.
But it mixes NTR and corrpution in a perfect balance.
It's all about exciting scenes and situations. The best thing is that you have to play the cuck in order to advance. So seeing scenes from his side is mandatory.
Situations are very perverted, the more the girl gets corrupted tricking the guy, sending him on a false missions, hiding stuffs...

Good scenes, good writing, and pretty fast paced. Not grindy at all.

Lack of buildup, extremely plain and predictable plot, and constantly changing partners did not fare well with me. Little interaction with male mc.

I just expected something more for a game that seemed to be popular. Many paths of the game feel disjointed and independent of one another.

"The Heroine Design Alone Makes It Worth It to Play This Game"

I don't remember when the last time I get so excited by just seeing a character design and you know I like it a lot when her normal outfit is enough to turn me into a horny monkey. Talking about outfits, you also gonna found a lot of different lewd sex costumes to use but they're only unlockable after the main story ends.
I yet again find something about this game that feels lacking, the route and sex scenes are good but again, something just feels missing, for me personally. I also don't like that you have to choose one route to get that route ending and the other route ending needs to be unlocked by an unlocker button, you can't get them all in a normal way is a bad thing for this kinda game.
There's also another cock sleeve MILF and even if her scene really short, it's still a nice little addition. Your recollection room also has two versions where you can see some scenes through MCuck-kun POV.

Spoiler: I hate RPGM games in general. They are clunky, have too much grind, too many variables, complicated quests, and a huge risk of missing something.

This managed to overcome all that.

• It has a small map, further shortened by teleport system.
• The ability to switch protags is great (95% of the content is with the female perspective. Only the battle system is male exclusive)
• Simple gameplay....wake up, switch to the female, roam around, get groped/molested/ fucked by everyone, switch to male, go fight, end day.. repeat
• The situations and dialog are hot
• The art is good

Some cons:

• No animation
• Some scenes are much longer and better than the rest
• Mostly the dialog change on a static image during H scenes
• recycled scenes
• None of the action happens in front of the Male. I would have liked that, even him joining

Even though its not perfect, Its still worth a great rating, I personally liked it a lot! I do recommend it for NTR lovers!

This was average. In terms of gameplay, story, and CG scenes it wasn't anything special I'd comment on. The story is far-fetched even for a porn game, the main character somehow gets blackmailed in an unlikely place and was vaguely set up. Fast forward three days of unwanted molestation before she turns into a nympho. . . Yeah just that basic.
Art was OK and most of the NPC scenes are reused. Good for a quick nut and that's it.

Coming from an NTR fan, this has a lot of good stuff going on. Corruption is always a massive bonus to NTR. The gameplay isn't that bad and the scenes with Asuka cheating on Kouta over the comms is pretty hot. Some of the routes aren't as good as others, but that's okay.

I'm probably not gonna delete this game from my library ever.

So in the land of thirsty spouses and dubious intents, how does this shanty cuck venture rate itself? Well, we'll see as I try to be as honest as I can with this corruptive-rpg hiding behind an NTR tag that feels near non-existant.

And luckily, considering I'm not much a guy for this particular thing, the NTR is the lightest I've seen in this genre, very accessible for those that really don't want to play as a guy seeing his entire life fall apart, with every excruciating detail. And hence, that's basically the bias throughout this review (and really the game). I'm not a NTR-man, and this game seems like it doesn't want to be either, so for those wanting that kind of experience I think you'll find it light-ish in this title for the most part.

Anyways onto the game, you play as the main heroine, and her spouse (very occasionally) by switching between them in their respective rooms. Now, as stated, this isn't really that much of an NTR game, more so the cheating spouse angle being used as a setup for most of the scenes that you'll see. That sounds obvious of course for NTR, however, the reason why she does anything at all is the tropefied blackmail photo that leads to a landslide of lewd. And with that setup, the majority of the game then is going to be spent playing as the heroine and (potentially) furthering her scenes with every shady individual you come across. The guy himself is near nonexistant, only there to further missions, buy/upgrade equipment, and be near-blind to everything happening.

There is a day system and the developer is kind enough to just unlock scenes you missed gallery-wise for everyone you didn't get to. So as the days pass, you get more scenes that could've happened. For the most part, you can nab every scene without worrying about that anyways, since the town isn't very big, and the whole gambit is almost being a circle of picking up scenes. There is also a unique standpoint where when you play the actual game-part of this RPG, when you pause you see the heroine relay back info, usually directions, the more she's corrupted the more you can see that through the info screen. Very interesting mechanic. And the scenarios themselves are pretty fine, though, there almost seems to be a jump in content and what occurs

So, why the 4 stars? Well...its more of a nitpick, as the game's fine in my opinion. Also, spoiler warning as I feel that this isn't too much of a problem but may be enough to turn you off in an otherwise fine game. And it's spoiling a rather integrated mechanic.
Anyways rant over, fine game. I highly recommend this one if you have a day or evening to spare and the quarantine blues are hitting. There isn't a lot of male-oriented cuckery happening, as you don't play as the male MC much, and it's pretty much just a corruption-rpg with a slight NTR angle. 4/5.

My opinion on it won't change though, since this is one of the OG ntr game for me. Good and erotic scenes along with good options (shota, fat uncle, tanned blonde playboy, etc). Has one of my most favorite mechanic in all NTR games: You can go on a mission and see her face in comm. Her expression and what she says in comm will change the more corrupted she is. Shit is hot.

The official Kagura version has the dev added some more clothing options (though not impactful of a feature till late game when you can actually change it) and some more scenarios (if you like the blonde dude route, you'll like what they added). Overall a great NTR game that hit the right buttons for me.

Eventhough the plot to make female mc corrupt is kind of stupid but the ntr scenes is really good and while you play through the game you can process what happen to female mc.
I still want to give this game 5 star eventhrough it have some part I don't like it.

This game had a lot of potential. The gameplay wasn't really that fun. At the start of the game, i feel lost because the game doesn't guide you anywhere and have to resort to walkthroughs to know what the hell is going on. The h-scenes most people call ''masterpiece or godly'' aren't even good. First of all the scenes dont change. They recycle the same cg but slap in different dialogue. And the routes dont feel finished at all, the routes should provide an epilogue as well. This is like the Makina game. But Makina And Asuka arent good games they just provide good looking heroines and people are just engrossed on the girls and calling these games 'masterpieces'. I do not recommend this game. I highly recommend Tina and Scarlett Prison

The game play is so damn annoying. There is no direction in what you're supposed to be doing, so basically, just talk to every npc in the city before moving onto the next target. The story is absolutely ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, blackmail fetish is my thing, but they blackmail the hero, who is protecting them from absolute destruction. And the blackmail they have is so lame, there is no way even on the greatest stretch of my perverted imagination, could make it work. The art is fantastic, but thanks to google, i don't have to play through boring gameplay and a terrible story just to see the beautiful art. I'm sorry to rate a game with my favorite fetishes I like to play, but the writing felt so damn lazy and phoned in that i couldn't get into it.

great game ... when it comes to 2d games with corruption & ntr this is one of the my top three games ... the game is long and full of a great events & the main female character is so hot ... even the battles is not boring or annoying like other games of the same sort

played the one before it was ported on steam, probably one of the best for me, the visual is really good, and there are a lot / various H scenes makes it good.
though unfortunately I haven't checked the good ending, the NTR story were the main though so I guess it's kind of a non factor.

Kagura always (okay not ALWAYS) bring the best content a man could want and, again, they impressed me.

It's a NTR Game which I really don't like the content but the ''main'' protagonist doesn't interact or anything and we rarely play as him, so I could just ignore him. The main focus here are the scenes and everyone can easily notice that because the gameplay is... Poor. Really poor.

The real focus of this game is the redhead girl and you gonna play as her most of the time, getting the scenes after each day. You can pass the day by defeating the bosses of which area, something... Really boring. Yeah, the gameplay really isn't that good.

RaiOhGar has many, many, MANY scenes, but most of them are ctrl c + ctrl v which a small difference here and there, they really get good after Asuka is fully corrupted, which takes a LONG time.

The corruption system is really 50/50, it shows how she's getting ''hornier'' (?) and that's good, but takes a very long time and you NEED to see the same sex scenes over and over to get a good corruption level, that's the biggest problem with this game and made me really bored.

After beating the game, you can get 4 endings. One with each ''characters'' . I put '' '' thingy because you can't really care about them, they have no personality besides the Shizue's kid, which has a twist at the end, but besides that, they are BORING.

Again, after beating the game, you get extra content which are really good, they are few but this few is 10/10.

Final notes ? It's a solid game focused on the hentai, which for me its really good. You know something even better ? You don't need to lose to get a scene, you can play as an actual human being and you can easily get ALL of the scenes in 1 playthrough... Well, except the scenes from day 10, but you can just save there.

Overall: Great game, 8/10. We need more games from Kagura and like this. Recommeded!
