The first and second part of the exam to get the warrant is easy enough. The third ethics one is the one that seems impossible. there's basically no hint (that i'm aware of. or i could just be dumb) and you don't know how many right questions I got out of the 5. it could also be straight forward but again I might just be dumb and overcomplicate it.
oh that one, i pretty much passed it first try. I think Alessa drops the answers on you at one point idr, it's pretty much just all the stereotypical goody two shoes answers.

is there a way to get rid of someone you added to your "party"?
when you fill all the slots up in your party you will unlock the ability to rotate characters out at save points. There is not to my knowledge a way to completely remove them from your base once you add them to party they are in. But once you can rotate them out they can be effectively ignored for the rest of the game if you don't want to interact with them.

Are all the monsters roughly the same? I see no point in grinding them when The starter mage has actual story unless the others are really strong.

yeah after sleeping and reading some of the comments it really was that easy. So it was a combination of me being dumb, overthinking it and sleepy that makes it almost impossible to pass lol my apologise for that. Anyway if anyone else seems to have a problem with 3rd warrant exam here's the answer

each monster has a two unique skills usually a passive and a combat skill the living armor for example is very powerful as it does double damage with swords. The other reason to use other companions is that when you max affection out the CGs and dialogue for the H scenes change and affection rises every combat you take them in to depending on your charisma skill.

starting stats and abilities are different, and improvement costs are driven by how many times you improve, not raw number, so higher base stats means higher stats for the same $$$.

werecat at that abandonned farm is the best i've found. great stats plus a dope capture move. i made my MC a mage and use the werecat with a sword and dagger for double attacks.

You can easily finish the game with the MC and Alessa having max stats if you don't want to grind the others. The equipment and abilities are more important as some combination are far better than the stats.

She gets an additional 100% damage boost if you equipped her with the sword user item if you find it.

The only thing with werecat is that once you have access to the c and b-rank magicbooks, you can give the same type of skill to everyone.

Yeah the A rank accessory is nuts, and they stack with themselves which is nuts so you can equip 4 for 400% damage plus the chars ability for 100% more damage. It's one of the reasons I'm a pretty big assassin fan since she does daggers and you can dual wield them.

there's basically no hint
lol not sure if you're being sarcastic but just in case:
The hint is in the name of the exam: Ethics

Anyways, is there a guide for all quests, the unique equips, and such?
Like:
1. the lamia; if you give her 10 rations then let her go you get a Pacifist Ring(b) [tho prob can make it later] & she shows up at the entrance.
2. If you have the slime in party, can catch the mousegirl w/o her running away (thus saving 3 wood).
3. Haven't finished zombie, but: all heavy=capture, all light=something, most other combo= +150 (for total of 300mira; haven't tested all the combo if something else appears)
4. Shield quest= C rank in equip could capture the hornet girl or release her (in which case she appears @ the treasure room).
5. If you get the key from the bar guy (1st town stairs in the open; free if you got C rank in equip/chr?) you can open a room in the ruins to play a game w/ the mimic. IF you have a werewolf as partner, she'll tell you the answer

Some corrections:
1. 3 skills--once you max the affection (& believe it's all the girls)-- & think the 3rd one is "in party".
2. You also gain some for picking stuff up (For, I believe, even the ones on standby),

Edit: No clue if "in party" needs to be partner or just on standby

Abandoned farm; after the thief bridge it's to the left of the road (one that leads nowhere)
