Seems like the elf village quest is broken for me. After I talk to the sex slave and am supposed to get the eye orb back, whenever I go into the forest I get the scene with the wolf thats supposed to happen a week later according to the walkthrough. Its playing that scene every time instead of giving me the option to go back to the village

Alright, finished my first playthrough of the game up to the end of current content! Here are my thoughts:

I really enjoy it. The characters and story are well written and I enjoyed the simple mechanics. It never felt too grindy. The romance is kinda cheesy, but in a good way, and it felt reasonably compelling.

The game could use some proofreading. There were a lot of instances where capitalization or punctuation was missing, a fair few grammar mistakes and instances where a word or phrase was used incorrectly. Nothing too egregious, but enough to hurt immersion imo. If the devs don't have anyone else willing to give the script an in-depth proofread, I'd potentially be willing to do it in my spare time.

My only major issue was with the way the ending was handled. More detail in spoiler:

I wasn't up to the elf village on my old save but now when I go to the forest I'm getting the new zenelith event. Something weird going on.

Also, I'm at the part of cynthia's route after getting stabbed where you need to go to the guild in the afternoon but nothing is happening

Make sure you're playing in the latest version. I find it weird that the scene keeps repeating... but anyways some people are having bugs with that specific quest, so I'll rework it for the next update.
In regards to the orb, just speak with Sander at the guild.

Still present in 1.1.3, unless that message was about this ver? Hard to tell if so, sorry.

Proofreading is something I do when I'm not writing or programming for the new updates, so not too often unfortunately. Most of our proofreading is done by whoever volunteers to do it, which we always appreciate of course.

Also I get what you're saying about the ending. I think the main issue is that the motivation of the MC isn't properly conveyed — we spend too little time with Uncle Pete to want to do anything drastic like the MC does, plus we never really explained how the army works in the game. Both of these things are stuff we want to fix in one of the next updates.

read the first reply in this message for the Zenelith stuff, for Cynthia's part, you need to progress in July's storyline first.

I restarted and the zenelith scene came in it's proper place so I'm assuming that's because of my old save. The bit that's missing in the walkthrough for gabriel is the fingering scene in the classroom. Goes between -Finger her 4 times and -Buy a dildo at Mervin’s and use it on her 3 times

Awesome! Personally I would like to see bad things that aren't endings - it feels like lots of choices end up as either 'be perfect or MC/character death', while I feel like there's room inbetween where I think some really good story could happen - both for betrayals as well as honest failures. Maybe that would also help the slight repetition in the "player meets girl -> solves her problems after 5 conversations -> everything is now perfect and singing kumbaya with everyone" loop. (exaggeration I know, but it starts to feel that way by the end). The elf village storyline is on the right track here, but still ends up immediately writing out a character to avoid you having any significant lasting consequences of your actions.) As specific examples, the threats made in the talking goblin encounter are a massive bait :KEK: and could easily result in an escape afterwards. Then, the end of staying to watch Thea being attacked by goblins feels very clearly like the devs are trying to punish/chastise you for picking that option, which would be fine if it didn't seem contrary to the tone of the marketing of the game.
Oh yeah, I expressed myself badly, what I meant more exactly is that I want to and am planning to develop more the bad/evil choices to give more freedom of play.
Also which character are you referring to exactly in the elf quest?

I used the cheat menu after going through each hunt once and weapon trainings (so no opinion on those) but I do remember doing Stealth Training for like 20 minutes straight or something. My finger was definitely sore by the end, but that could also be because I didn't see any indication that I was done training, but it didn't feel like I had all the Thea sleep options. (disclaimer: I didn't finish Thea's stuff - it was very wholesome and heartwarming, but after essentially the same thing in so many of her conversations I just wasn't interested)
Mh, I see, I see, I'll keep it in mind.

To be clear I like most of the ending (just had another read through to write this) - the get well card is amazing - but the very very end just kinda shattered the vibe. MC says he doesn't want anyone to get involved, which would make sense if he was going to do something mega dangerous, but he's... signing up to be an entry-level army grunt? I would be totally on-board and ready for a sequel if he was going to do some high-risk cloak-and-dagger, but MC just doesn't seem like the kind of guy to process his immense (partially demonic?) need for revenge by deciding to work his way through the ranks of army bureaucracy, taking what, years to decades, all the while having to fight bandits and not-demon-queen things for the government. There's no reason why he would need to prevent his friends from following to the capital while he trains & skirmishes for years.
And plenty of MC's friends are fellow students and so not particularly battle-ready (which makes sense), but also some of his friends are wayyy stronger than he.
Like I said in a comment above this is also a problem of not having conveyed at any point in the game how exactly the army, the adventurers and everything else works.
But to be fair, even knowing that info, it's not fair that the player doesn't really get any choice if we're not able to convince everyone that it's a good choice to go to the capital and join the army. The ending is definitely one of the things that will be revised in the future.

To be fair, MC only has like a couple points in combat and a few months in school, so maybe he doesn't decide to go on an assassination quest, but silently leaving kinda feels like spitting on all the relationships that the player has spent the entire game building, especially after they attend to MC as he recovers. Ideas for potential changes would be:
- letting MC recover to a happy ever after, and then the demon vision, and then the "I'm gonna kill her", but then fade to black there and shift the part where he actually writes letters and ditches his home into the beginning of the next story.
- Replace the silent leaving with a training montage ending with the mentors telling him they have nothing left to teach him and his town sends him away with happy tears (would seem to fit the tone of the rest of the story)
I was too thrilled when the uncle turned out to be a total homie rather than a stereotypical creep to even think about plot twists, so I didn't mind the 'MC is the demon king' thing at all - whereas the (batman voice) 'I have to do this alone' seemed like a stereotypical edgelord MC thing.
Who knows, maybe this whole section means I'm just a sucker for happy endings.
Nah, don't worry, it ain't your fault. Bunis quite literally wrote the ending in a rush because he just wanted to "finish" the game. After 2 years the game wasn't that popular and having uni as well he wasn't too sure he was actually going to do anything else with the game, so he made a quick ending and added a section to Cynthia's and Thea's questlines.
But now the game is going high and we're trying our best to fix the stuff not only people aren't happy with, but that we aren't happy with either. This includes the ending and the grinding, which are things we're definitely going to change in the next two updates.

In regards to motivation, I think you did a decent job. We as the player haven't spent too much time with Pete, but the time we do spend is pretty good at establishing him as a kind and wonderful soul, and I was 100% on board with getting vengeance for him, just not with the MC joining the army. Having had more time to think about it, I agree that if you do properly establish how the army works that would help.

I think it would also be a good idea to have the MC talk to General Taliya before he leaves. She could be the one to explain that background about the army and encourage him to join, which would help better establish his motivation to join.

We're definitely going to keep working on this project for a long time, we have enough content planned for the game that we are probably still going to be working on the game for a few more years.

When we'll be finished, which I don't know when it'll be, we might or might not start another project. It's really something we'll only find out when the time comes.

Just tried the game and I am enjoying it. Does anyone know if there's a way to progress with Thea other than molesting her at night. The walkthrough only mentions that.

the molestation is optional as you can eventually decides it's wrong. Just keep having people over for dinner and then see her at work at some point

Thanks. I was worried it wouldn't continue at some point without it since the walkthrough mentions it.
