So, at the time using your TV, your PC was not connected to any other display?

Did you try the new update?

I really would like to know if it was the issue I fixed with that latest update Because there was a never detected oopsie, that would cause RVP to always take the screen boundaries of the primary screen no matter what. So when you'd have multiple displays AND they have different resolutions, it certainly wouldn't get the right parameters.

Though, if your case is actually different, I need to look further what else could cause issues

Yeah the only display my PC was connected to was just the TV, I did also try the new update I'm not sure if a video would help in anyway but I did record what still happens with the new update.

I saw, that the buttons also look odd, then I remembered, propably you have DPI scaling active (As I do, when using a PC on a 4K TV) and this messes up the application.

Super easy fix:

Right-Click => Properties => Compatibility and then:


I could reproduce the issue by changing DPI scaling in windows and could fix it, by setting the property to ignore windows dpi scaling for this application.

I will take a look if my application can do this by itself.

Funny enough it's off lmao, but I did give it a try and enabled it to see if it would make a difference but still nothing. I hope you trying to fix this issue that I'm having won't cause the same problem for other people.

Ok, *sigh* will have to investigater further. Weirdly enough, it shows the same behavior when I activate DPI scaling, so at least it's something in that direction, I hope

Peanutccino I might have found a bug. The player doesn't cover the taskbar when I go full screen (F11 or double click) while the window is maximized. Going to full screen (F11 or double click) from a non-maximized window works as it should.

If you mean Video Super Resolution, we already had a little discussion about that.

Ahh, you're using MPV. I didn't see that... But MPV is in the process of adding RTX Super Resolution as we speak, so it might be possible in the future. I can't stop using RTX Super Resolution, it works so well.

New features:

• Clickable path (text at the bottom) to direct user directly to file in explorer
• Option to automatically play next file depending on custom timer
  • Can also use a random value within a specified time range
• Experimental feature: Animated effects when playing static images (Ken Burns)
• Subtitles can be enabled and selected
• External subtitles can be added to video
• Subtitle cutomization in settings
• Audio tracks can be selected
• Option to play from files with available funscript only (Script filter)

UI tweaks:

• Moved extension filter to it's own settings tab
• Single buttons for switching file types (videos, images) based on selected filters instead of selecting each extension individually
• Subtitle and audio track selector on top left in RVPs title bar
• Collapsable filters in listbrowser

Bug fixes:

• File indexing not executing due non accessible folders => will now skip non accessible folders
• Start playing recent X files not working on fresh start
• Fixed exclusive fullscreen not working correctly when RVP is maximized
• (Implemented interface to receive commands send by ScriptPlayer when syncing in hopes it fixes a playback bug)

Additional Infos:

If using v1.46 or later, simply head to Settings=>About and let rvp update from there. Otherwise head to github release page and download the update manually.

The thing is, I'd have to switch the UI framework completely to something that is cross plattform capable. I peeked into Avalonia but yeah it's not something I'm familiar at all with plus some other issues. So this is not something I can consider in a foreseeable future.
