VN - Ren'Py - Ravager [v5.1.8] [4MinuteWarning]

There's an almost absurd amount of content but you do have to juggle with multiple playthroughs to get most of them, I will say the art of the animation video thingies is absolutely hideous to me but I can just focus on the text and chibi art which is 10/10.
There's an insane variety, enough to satisfy anyone with any tastes, the story is geniuenly quite interesting and would surprise anyone for being a porn game's one. The voiceacting is also hit or miss, but I'd say it's harmless at worse and adds a lot at best. Anyways solid great game, definitely stands out in creativity and writing

There are more than enough characters for you, and they almost cover every fetish. Most of them are well-designed, having their unique plot. It would be better if all of them got a little more backstory.

Graphics (renders/animation): 4/5
All of the characters are animated in scenes. The animations are well crafted. However, the art style of each character varies and is not universal, which may take away the immersive experience during the gameplay.

Narrative (dialogue/plot/ending): 4/5
A lovely fantasy world. The plot is logical, and the division of acts is well-structured. The game is not finished and progressing towards the end, so you will not have a complete story arc.

Gameplay (playability/design/systems): 4/5
High playability and is designed for replays. But most systems (i.e. stats, wounds, captives, events) still heavily rely on essential Ren'Py functions. It will be better off in the hand of a comprehensive UI.

Audio (voice acting/music/sound effects): 5/5
It's rare that even side characters get their voice acting. Love it. Music is well-placed.

Technical (performance/bugs): 4/5
You may have some problems with animation if you try to skip the dialogue, plus some minor bugs that won't affect the gameplay.

A truly unique game. It is one of the best on this site—a must-play among the games with similar genres.

I'm Commander Bigcokezero, and this is my favorite game on the site.

But seriously, it is my favorite H-game. There's nothing else that comes together quite so well. 4Min genuinely had a vision and fucking followed through with it.

Its inspired character writing, intense and branching choices, and bevy of intense sexual situations are why it deserves a straight 10/10 rating, despite a few drawbacks.

The beginning of the game has you terrorizing the countryside and acquiring harem members along the way. These characters are really what make the game great. Funny, pathetic, despicable, lovable, headpat-able, and so much more. They feel real. Your roleplay towards them feels satisfying in either moral direction. And the quality stays high as they evolve throughout the story.

As far as H-content, it's really the variety and intensity that makes it great. While there are a few kinks that are off limits, most of the time it's safe to say this game goes there. The only shaky part of the entire game is that the CGs have a wide variability in quality. Most are good, some aren't, and some are excellent. Most of the new ones are really great, and I suspect the lesser CGs will be repaved with excellent ones in time. However, as someone who normally views "great art" as the #1 most important aspect of any H-game, let me tell you that this does not at all detract from Ravager being the real deal. There were a few scenes and CGs that were so hot that they more than made up for the duds.

Edit: Many of these older CGs have been remade, so once again, don't let this stop you experiencing a great game

Disclaimer2: This is more about you being a dragon trying to reclaim his right than you being a dragon that fucks humans. If you're here for the porn expect to be sorely disappointed, especially if you play the dark fantasy mode. If you're here for the mood and setting, you're in for a great surprise.

I'd play this for the choice system alone - I finally feel like I have meaningful choices in an indie VN. Thank you to the developers.

The plot isn't particularly different nor alluring, and it's really kind of generic "evil dude picks himself back up" but you're a dragon instead. You're a young dragon whose owner got bumblasted into oblivion and you roam around trying to pick yourself back up and take back what's yours... with some other magical bullshittery happening along the way, that make for interesting focuses but are not the main point of it. The writing is very good, above average by quite a mile especially when compared to the usual drivel you read from these VNs; but the characters and the interactions as well as the freedom of choice and the impact of these is what really makes this game and makes you as a reader want to keep exploring it. There are two game modes - one with unlimited stats called "Power Fantasy" and one with normal stat progression called "Dark Fantasy" - and this is sadly part of the games main negative points.

Speaking of negative points, let's talk about them. There are two, really: Voice acting, and Sex Scenes + Game Mode.

1. Voice Acting.
The voice acting can be really hit or miss. Some of them are really fucking good, some of them are really fucking bad, and there's more that's really fucking bad than there are ones that are really fucking good, which makes it kind of a mess, really. Not all lines are voiced, and hell, not even all lines that are voiced are fully voiced! Sometimes, the line will say something, but the voice will say only half. Sometimes the voice has a tone that has nothing to do with it. Sometimes they're trying too hard, sometimes not at all. Imagine Castlevania's "WHAT IS A MAN?" with the "HAVE AT YOU!" and you've got yourself a good idea of the voice acting you'll expect here.

Also, everyone's Irish. Or at least attempting to do an Irish accent. Maybe you find that sexy. Maybe you don't.

2. Sex scenes and Game Mode (yes, in the same place).

The art changes often (the sprites don't even feel like they're related to the character in the art at times, really) and it ranges between decent to poor (in my opinion, never good). The writing in them is... fair, I guess, but isn't particularly my cup of tea. I mean, you can imagine what most of them look like, and if that's your fetish you'll fucking love it, but I personally didn't find them to my liking.

Even if that IS to your liking however, then we get to the Game Mode problems.

For you to gain strength, or for you to gain some stats, it is necessary to kill people during your encounters. This means you'll often be killing the girls that have sex scenes, and damn can they have several. You can see a girl once, and if you kill her, you gain a stat, but that's like 8 sex scenes down the drain. Honestly, this is somewhat alluring - It helps ease you into the part of thinking as the dragon protagonist, and taking choices that tend towards the egotistical and animalistic instead of trying to get yourself a human harem (because let's face it what kind of dragon would even want one of these anyway???); but if you're here for the sex scenes, the Dark Fantasy mode is not for you AT ALL. You'll lock yourself out of several girls and several scenes, and sometimes may even be forced to give out girls that you were pursuing to a group to advance other stats or get out of situations. It's not meant to be a nice experience that gives you scenes for no reason, and while I can see the allure of it - and honestly, I rather like it myself - I can easily see this being really annoying (especially because, despite liking it, I was also annoyed by having to replay the game killing off different characters to get the other scenes, and finding out which characters must stay alive simultaneously to get scenes with both, and so on so forth).

Despite these two fairly big gripes, this is one of the best VNs I've had the pleasure of finding in this website, and is a true little gem. I adore it. But if you're here for a quick and easy fap and a dragon harem, you may be best suited elsewhere.

One of the best Renpy games I've played yet, but the art like scenes are not as good as well rendered scenes.

[Story]- Pretty intriguing plot that is still a mystery at this point. You're blind as a bat as you're just born and wrapped up in some kind of conspiracy. All the characters seem to have several parts to play in the story, as long as you don't dismiss them. There's a somewhat dynamic interaction between you and your cohorts and consorts, as well as singular instances of interaction among themselves, but that may be expanded on later. There are multiple paths to take to achieve the same effect, with different consequences. All with the eventual outcome of retaking the throne.

[Gameplay]- There are multiple sections with different gameplay for each. Act I is just a linear novel with choices that will affect the future. Act II and III let you explore, but there is a time limit. What I didn't know is that that limited time is used for acquiring all assets and forces required for Act IV. I did not manage to explore completely nor get all the chicks. You'd have to use the walkthrough, and even then, it may be a time crunch to grab your girls. For some of them, making the wrong choice will prevent you from getting a girl(if you didn't leave the farm girl stuck). It was certainly fun, but not ideal for finding girls. The timing is also tight for scripted events, as I built traps too late to get the cat girls or treasure to keep the mother. Act IV involves spending resources to invade territories, and it was a little annoying, as my forces did not have any morale, and there was no way for me to raise it(I found out Isse denies morale in favor of prosperity). I had to turn my elf into a demon(which I didn't really want) to get them, and it was able to take 2 additional areas, but your power faction also depends on where you set up base, and the sacrifice(or not in some cases) depends on which faction you chose. This part of the game was cute, but not cool to play. It's responsible for increasing your kingdom's power, which is not yet relevant, and you probably cannot gain areas you didn't invade afterwards. It turns out you don't need any of it to finish the final battle, as that is mostly dependent on your personal stats. Most events during this act are actually triggered outside of the conquests, and you're actually supposed to sleep to go to the next day, which didn't really have good flow, as you're fishing for events blindly. For the free version, Act IV is the end.

I really liked the options in the preferences to select what you want and don't want to see. I found out that some things happened to the elf that I didn't see or find out about because I had trans turned off.

[Scenes]- The dialogue art is a bit childish, but the animations look quite good. The painting like porn scenes also aren't the best, but most of the animated ones are quite sexy. Some chicks have several scenes, and they seem to be reviewable at home, but there's really a huge lack of variety among their scenes at this point.

A lot of the dialogue has voice acting, but they don't have a lot of actors, so everyone sounds the same.

[Bugs]- Some scenes and events do not trigger at the appropriate timeline, allowing me to have the baby dream and bar fight scenes in Act IV when they're meant for Act III. As a result, the baby was also never born in Act IV. This is mostly due to the time crunch, as I was unable to trigger these events during Act III.

[Add]- I did some more exploring on "Power Fantasy"(unlimited stats) setting. It is more bearable, but you pretty much still need to be reading the guide to know what to do. I found that the "strategy" phase is much easier if you just let the "faction" pillage the coven. I do notice that the 2 regular hordes have standard warfare text, and some choices involved in the battle, while the "factions" have very elaborate writing. They're quite fantastic, honestly. I got locked out of the Proteans because I pushed the "nun" too far, so you can even miss out on factions if you get past the first phase(captive) for their sacrifice. I'm glad that I did get locked out, as I went back for a peek, and Proteans(alien/nightmare) scared me. The demons also had nastiness to them, but they're certainly more tame. They're both very imaginative. However, you come to understand that pushing the "factions" agenda is pretty much bringing hell/apocalypse into the world. Really cool if that is your kink. But it does not really make sense that they would follow a dragon to do so, when it's obvious that their power, will, and directive is too overbearing and they don't need to follow said dragon's orders or urgings at all to take over the world. It seems like trying to take the ruler/harem getter path that doesn't want to let potential brides be eaten is the hardest path(Not very possible in "Dark Fantasy" mode).

Hours of engaging, fun content. There are a lot of different paths to play and you can easily live out an awesome dragon power fantasy. If you are considering playing this game, then go for it - I highly recommend it.

Two things set this game back more than anything.

1. Inconsistent art style. One style is quite good while other renders and characters not so much. A redraw of the less-quality style would go along way to improve all and grant some sort of cohesion.

2. The voiceovers, sourced likely from the dev team and their friends or from that amateur porn-script voiceover community from reddit. You get what you pay for in many things, including voice-work. Of course, budget limitations are a major concern and a good voice actor, let alone one willing to do a porn game, can be expensive. But having no voiceovers is better than having bad voiceovers that players just end up wanting to mute.

A great game, all things considered.

You play as a dragon. The game offers a wide range of girls to collect, they are all quite fun characters and the dialogue isn't too braindead.

There isn't really much else to say as the plot is basically a classic harem just with a Dragon twist to it. It's executed well enough and with really gorgeous art that really carries the game further than it should.

If I were to point out a glaring (for me) minus for the game it would be the voice overs. The dragon sounds o-kay-ish. Not too terrible, but not too great. However, the female voice lines are straight cringe, as per usual. Not hot at all, just making your jaws clench every time they come up. Just turn off the female voice-over in the settings if you don't want your fap-session spoiled.

You're a dragon, you can fly and breath fire. You can rape or be nice to girls. You can either build your empire or create an abomination that can destroy an entire world.

Sadly the art style are inconsistence The sprite look cartoonish while the H-scene is so realistic that you can't guess character facial expression. In some scene where character is getting rape their expression look so neutral that it look like a normal sex (weird complain, I know). I just wish it have more consistent art-style through out the game. like Price of Freedom or Knightly Passion but that's just my personal taste at that point. (sorry bad english)

It seems that the developer is focusing on story and game elements first, and the porn art later, which is all well and good, considering the wonderful results so far.

Out of all the things that this game's writing covers well, and they are many, the subject that I find the most enthralling is the Lovecraftian element.
Most others will blithely work some tentacled fish-thing, insert some chanting from Shadow Over Innsmouth, dash some blood and viscera around and call it good. Lovecraftian Horror is called "COSMIC Horror" for a reason, as it is supposed to challenge a reader's very comprehension of what they are even supposed to make of the writing.

Every Protean raid that I order is both lurid and wonderful at once, every interaction, especially the sacrifices. My hat's off to the writer/writers behind Mother.

Excellent quality overall, but missing or missed content left me unsatisfied. Above average writing, solid length, great visuals. The options for customizing your experience are the gold standard. The story is dark and violent by default, but you're given a large amount of flexibility, letting you set your own tone. Your choices have permanent, significant repercussions, which results in a much more personal, engaging narrative. However, I found this also made me second guess everything, as it's rarely clear what the long term results of a choice are. Hence it's very easy to accidentally lock yourself out of content you wanted to see. As of 4.3.11, many story arcs are incomplete, leaving me unsatisfied, and the ending felt like a placeholder. Despite these issues (some of them serious), the game is still well worth it, and generally a shining example of the genre.

This game is awesome. From its interesting plot, characters, writing style, and even its voice acting is amazing. I can't wait for it to be completely finished. Keep working hard developers, a fan supports you!!

Probably the most entertaining adult game I played. I recommend To start in the dark fantasy mode, and after that go for a completionist playthrough in the power fantasy mode to unlock all the content.

An excellent game. At first I thought, downloading this, "alright, rip the images and be done". But then I played it. I never thought I would be so engaged with a porn game, but I'm about to start my third playthrough and have missed more sleep than I care to admit telling myself "okay, just ONE more scene" - Heloise's story was particularly gripping to me. Love it, can't wait for another build - just hoping it becomes available off steam when all's said and done. Don't want my friends to know ALL the games I'm into. I'd be happy to buy on itch.

Has voice acting, you fuck everything that moves and you are a dragon. Kind of cool truth be told. Also violent as hell.

Although honestly, voice acting really isnt necessary. It really isnt. I read faster than these hoes talk and I havent got all day and my schlong hasnt got strength for hours so I will have to skip around your lines.

Also your daughter is half lizard half elf hybrid and wants to have sex with you and or destroy the world I am not sure. Its a must play.

Very good effort. Great variety, tons of reactivity, good writing. The only bad thing I have to say about this game is that it ends way too soon for how good it is, and that the sex scenes, while all having fantastic setup, can end a bit too abruptly and soon, giving you less good stuff to fap over. Basically, the biggest threat to the game currently is if it forgets it's a fap-game first and foremost - and it is dangerously close to that threshold.

Love it, especially how your choices effect the gameplay. Even the simplest choices have impact, the characters have depth and because of that there is a lot of roleplay enjoyment to be had and potential for replayability. You can be a "smooth criminal" dragon that can seduce everyone or be an absolute terminator or mix and match as you please. No doubt that its going to be one of the best around when it's done. My thanks to the devs for this gem.

Fucking amazing. the amount of emotional depth the creators have managed to put into some of the characters are just breath taking and i can honestly say that this just might my favorite game on here.

I like the concept but idiotic gameplay choices are holding it back.
You are a big bad dragon. Ravaging (a less threatening word for rape) the lands and the people.
The characters are voice acted, good looking, and animated (meh quality).
Now lets get to the problems

The only way to grow stronger is to kill and eat your waifus. Lorewise you should be able to eat random nameless bandits but the game won't let you.
The only way to keep your armies in fighting order is to hand over your waifus to be gangraped. Apparently random nameless NPCs won't suffice.

Even if you were hardcore into vore or being a cuck the above remove 90%+ of all the content in the game, as you see only 1 single scene and the waifu in question is gone forever.
The only redeeming factor for the above two options is that you can enable "power fantasy" mode where you do not need to that. you have infinite stats and can support your armies with infinite gold instead of waifu gangrape.
The game makes it very clear you are a filthy casual cheater who suck at gaming if you choose to do this but... I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't play in that mode because what kind of person just removes 90% of content from their game this way?

Even in power fantasy mode you still gotta be careful of the many "you just die" events choices where it does not matter what your stats are, you just die if you make some choices even though it sounds like your stats should help.

This is a guide damn it game with anti logical decision trees. Or results being completely random instead of logically flowing from your actions.

While power fantasy mode makes it so you do not need to eat waifus or give them to your armies to gangrape, you still lose a couple anyways. For example there are 3 possible lair choices, each one requires a different waifu to be sacrificed.
So you need at least 3 saves.

Also you have 1 prime waifu slot only and you need to replay the game many times to check each girl in that slot.
Also there are some special interactions between the prime waifu and other waifus so...
Yea. Better consult a guide and go for the events you really want.

Story is quite neat, mechanics are good, although I would rather have less to track, or more chances to improve/grind them. Its a great game if you want to play a dark story being a literal dragon. There's also voice acting, that is quite hit or miss, quality varies a lot but its a neat addition.

Now, why 4 stars? Because the art.... or more like, the dissonance. You see, you have a very cute, anime art style when you do normal conversations, but for sex, it changes to a more, realistic, proportioned artstyle, and the difference is kinda... offputting? Liking a character in the dialogue just to see a quite different character when fucking it was odd. I hope we get an option for animesque sex and realistic portraits for dialogues one day.
