Hey guys and girls!

Can you guys recommend some games that are intentionally funny? It could be satirical humor (like Defenestration ), snarky and hilarious dialogue, or just a protagonist/narrator with sarcastic quips- they're are all good. I do prefer Western or Eastern-European humor though. The Japanese humor can sometimes be a bit exaggerated and over-the-top for my taste.

If the game is actually intelligently written, it's a huge bonus (y)

Well, there's a lot of humor in The Last Sovereign, even though I'd not call it a comedy game. Anyway, yeah, the game is quite intelligent.

Max Gentlemen Sexy Business is intentionally funny. I found this to be quite funny and imo it's well written. It's got a lot of non sex gameplay, I enjoyed that but others might find it annoying. Really nice art and multiple (very sexy) outfits for all of the characters. It has a lot of gay content too but its all optional.

Black Souls does have a few moments that are pretty funny, but it's also a pretty dark game in general too. The second game definitely has more of humor in it but it's also just as grim outside of that.

I actually played that game a good while ago! I really enjoyed it and recommend it. I don't mind non-sex gameplay so much, as long as there is sexiness in the game.

Eternum by Caribdis can really crack me up. The protagonist's best friend is a pretty minor character but always lightens up the mood of an otherwise pretty serious hero's journey VN. The dev also has a knack for really selling a funny moment through the characters' facial expressions.

Agent Mirai plot is as shounen as it can get if you ignore the lewd stuff, not to mention poking fun at typical porn tropes in the commentary of the stuff researched.

It is a Japanese game but the humour/ funny are mostly not. The fantranslation is really good, and the game is self-aware about its silly premise. (stay away from the remakes/ official translation - they look worse and cut a lot of text)
Beware it is a "strategic" puzzle game, and not so easy at that.

Another Japanese game. some of the humour is "Japanese" and annoying, like Lancelot always eating superhuman amounts of anything. ha ha. not.
But more often it is funny to very very funny.
And also here I recommend the good fan(+playstation)-translation over the official one: it translates more, has bonus characters, and then some.

GOLD is not a gold version of the game, but a 2nd game clearly addressing players who already finished World Conquest.
