VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Rebels of the College [v0.15 Public] [Midreen Games]

This one is a good start. A fun college visual novel game. Renders and models are good. Writing is good and there is some witty dialogues. Some characters are really fun. Especially Hannah and Elena. Some lewd scenes happened very fast but seems like it's essential for the plot. Story is MC creating a new student's club with the help of some girls and starting a rebellion against a spoiler rich kid. Seems like this one is a fun ride. MC is a goofy guy. Most of the times his face looks like goofy. But when he is serious it changes. Free roam part is not grindy simple point and click. If you like playing college visual novel games give this one a try.

Gameplay/Story: 4/5

The story seems promising, although not a particular new topic, I've found it to be enjoyable and wanting to see what's gonna happen next.
A big caveat I have with the game currently is that it seems very rushed. To be more specific, the game seems to jump from one part of a story to another out of the blue sometimes making me feel like I accidentally skipped the dialogue. The dev should not be afraid of dragging a scene for a few extra lines of dialogue in order for the jump to the next part of the story to make more sense.


Renders/Characters: 4/5

While not the best of the best, the renders are pretty and I enjoyed the visuals of the game, would give a 5 once the dev gains more experience and starts improving the environment as well as the animations (which are not bad at this point in time, but I am 100% that he can do better).

Music: 1/5

Game lacks in the sound department, having some background music only in certain parts of the game. Would be nice to add some of that royalty-free tracks throughout the game in order to improve the overall atmosphere.


Final words: For an early iteration, the game is pretty good, would recommend it for people that are into the college theme and the whole good MC taking over the campus from the bad guys.

I've played version 0.15 and so far this game looks really prommising. I think it can become a top rated game if it gets a little more love so there is more quality instead of quantity. I defenitly recommend it to everyone to play.

Pro's
The game visuals and animations look good (not perfect but good) and I hope that in the future the animations will become longer because they are now just two seconds. Also sometimes the characters don't have the right facial expression I feel like.

The story so far is really interesting and I can't wait to see how the story is going to develop in the upcoming updates. (I'm personally a fan of college style games so a little bit biased)

I like the characters at the beginning but I hope they will get a bit more personality in the upcoming updates so that's all I can really say about it.

Cons:

Sometimes the scenes don't overlap well so it doesn't seem right. Some games have too much text, some have too little and this game is one of them. Focus a bit more on the scenes so that they blend well togheter. See spoiler for one of the scenes where this happens.

Spelling and grammar errors... I don't need to say more about this. The developer has noticed himself and put it as a goal on his Patreon (I know my spelling and grammar isn't perfect but that's why it's even worse because even I can see it xD).

I gave the game 4 stars because the some scenes just feel rushed and aren't perfect.

I hope the developer of this game will continue to grow and make this game as good as it can be. I can't wait on the next update.

I wanna give it 5 stars, because it is nearly there, and I love the "school setting" games, but there are some minor issues holding it back. Those being:
-Not many, but some, spelling errors. (Easily fixable.)
-Grammar is definitely off at times. (Engrish, if you will.)
-Some choices that you make will lead to results that they most likely aren't meant to lead to. (Ex: When Leah tells you about her potentially moving to the city you're going to college in, you can tell her that you don't give a shit and she'll still grind on that ween. I doubt that's the reply you would get for telling her you don't give a shit.)
-Although the freeroam parts aren't a major focus in the game, and there aren't many of them as of now, they can be a little confusing to navigate. (Ex: When you're at the party at a pretty large house, you would expect there to be more areas in the free roam, and the arrows just randomly popping up to go from place to place leave you feeling like you might be missing an area. For all I know, I actually might have.)
-Animations could use a little work. They aren't THAT bad, and will probably get better as the game progresses, due to the dev gaining more experience, but they're not great either. (I'm just grateful that the game at least has an attempt at animated H-Scenes, instead of just still images, or the sorry excuse of multiple still images that go back and forth.)
-Hate to have to be the guy to say it, but I'm still gonna. It's another MC with a monster dong. For me personally, if it's not gonna be a "fap-fest" type of game, and you're going the story route... Don't give the MC a third leg. It isn't realistic, or captivating in any way, and just feels like a cop out because it's a porn game.

Those minor issues aside, this game is solid so far. It's still too early (0.15) to tell any further, but the foundation is there for a good game. The character models are great. The story is enough, for lack of a better word. It isn't amazing, but it isn't awful either.

All that being said, good luck to the dev with the rest of the game. There's some 5 star potential with this one, and I'll be looking forward to future updates.

It was the very first time I saw the game on the latest updates and I must say that this is absolutely phenomenal!

The fact that the storyline just flows smoothly and the characters are just rendered perfectly, this game draws the player into such pleasure.

I just want to emphasize that you must try this game! An absolute 10/10

way to go dev/s! the way you ended first release is just too great. you hyped majority of players if not all. i'm excited to see more specially the chick who love dogo (well animal and nature in general) also the renders are freaking top tier haha

It's good looking game and promising one but I really hate how small the choice and text is, I feel like I need to keep turn my hear around to read and to select, if Dev could triple the size of the game I think it will make be much easier.

Pros:
The art is really good! However a bit exaggerated d..k of the MC!

Against:
I play on PC and my TV50" and yet it's hard to read conversations when you have to choose an answer, the Dev needs to at least triple the font size of the texts!

One more story about boy going to college, let's see what the plot presents us, but the scenes !

Really fun start to the game. You get to meet all of the ladies in the banner image and they're all really likeable (really hard for me to pick a favorite, but Jessie and Emmy are early front-runners). Game has a good amount of lewd scenes for a first release (All of them in some interesting scenarios). Sarah (MC's sister) is cute and funny. I like the idea of the two of you planning on opening a business together after you graduate. I see a lot of potential for this one.
