Checked out the new update, everything works now. Idk if this was an update fix or simply reinstalling a game. If anybody has this issue, try completely deleting your game save folder from appdata.
Great game dev! But the new time stop is too op, it certainly needs to be a very late game upgrade.

Jokes aside, I think that this could be pretty easy to do. From my experience, currently jogging can generate more money than filming (until you get a few expensive upgrades). So, if you just jog every day and buy and read magazines when you can, you should be able to get to max stats and stack some cash pretty quickly. IIRC, you can get around 20k per every jog from the park to the lab. So: Cook to get the energy regen buff, spam jogging, always buy magazines, save up for exp upgrades, rinse, repeat. Gymcel playthrough is real and is a solid strategy, actually.
