Could use more content, and some of the affection events should be repeatable through a gallery or using the rewind future. The game is pretty simple, and it has a somewhat fun gameplay loop. Definitely needs a proper ending though, nothing fancy, but just something other than being sent to the menu. Would also greatly appreciate a second Yuna footjob...

Fun game with not too much content at the moment. I like the setting and the somewhat skittish redhead that you have to warm up to you. It's somewhat wacky and it seems to scratch the monkey part of the brain.
It is held back somewhat though by a very, very grindy early game experience where you need a least three expensive/rare books and study for three days to level one skill for one point. You have to level up all your skills multiple times before they are high enough to get you trough some skill checks.
There is a running mini-game where you can fight and get some random items and tiny amount of cash which is sorta interesting BUT... It is turn based combat with every action narrated with multiple screens of slowly scrolling text, after fighting multiple opponents this gets insanely tedious. You can scroll trough it quickly but there is a chance you will get a new item and you'll skip the one time description.
IMO scrolling text is already a no-no, but in a game that is all about grind and repeating the same encounters again and again it is especially cruel.
Tbh, the balancing is like those mobile phone pay to win apps, where you can theoretically do it the hard way but they just really want you frustrate you into buying stuff. Only here we have cheats for subscribers.
Still 4 stars as I think it the game play loop can still be salvaged with more ways to gain experience, like still giving some pity exp for failed skill checks so encounters are not completely useless until the "end-game".
And for the love of all that is holy remove t.h.e..s.c.r.o.l.l.i.n.g..t.e.x.t..e.f.f.e.c.t. it doesn't look cool, it is just annoying.

Very fun game play loop. If you're looking for a sleeping sim type game, this is a must play. Interesting take on a pseudo-roguelike regression system, as you go back in time every 14 days. I thoroughly enjoy the art style and animations of this game. Looking forward to more updates from the dev

Fairly intersting concept and also good technical execution, but held back by other aspects. Could be a gem if the actual gameplay wasn’t so unfair and unbalanced.

There’s basically no grace period at the start, so you get thrown into events with weak starting stats and end up failing almost every check. This, in turn, costs you stamina or other resources, and you'll be punished further if you run out of those.

The dev needs to rethink some of the balancing, or give us more ways to level up/earn xp in the early game.

Solid game so far! The concepts are solid, the game play loop is pretty decent and there was a feel of progression throughout. It felt just a tad grindy but overall enjoyable. Popped the game on v.3.1.2 last night and spent a solid 4-5 hours going throught it. Some parts were slightly confusing but I learned things naturally as the game progressed which was really cool (patting the head to reduce wakefulness, messing with the thermo). Can't wait to see where the game goes!

Also, the dev seems very active on the disc. Hopped in to see what was going on and they were just streaming hsdxd to chat and talking about the game lol.

Fantastic game. Some small detriments, but it is in active development and a lot of concerns get addressed pretty promptly so I have very high hopes for it. As it is it's already probably one of the best sleep games out there, though that probably speaks more to how niche this genre is than anything. Highly recommend.

It's in v0.3.1.2 as of this review:
    - The running segments are fine but really if I have to choose between running + some rudimentary combat vs the nighttime gameplay I'm certainly not gonna run.
    - Nighttime content is awesome. It's the main appeal of the game anyways so it makes sense. Starts off somewhat simple and you can get upgrades and items that give you more time and more options.
    - Daytime content is surprisingly not bad. Aside from the running which I talked about before. There are a few relationship events with Yuna currently which are somewhat nice and wholesome in a bit of contrast to the lowkey fucked up shit you do at night, and you can level up your stats and whatever so you can get better upgrades. Most importantly, daytime is usually pretty quick and painless so you don't gotta bother with too much crap before you get to the goodies.
    - New drinking day, a little brutal but its quite a bit of content. Strip poker is kinda nice, the other events are a little fun.
    -

content. Not a whole lot to see here at this point in time but I'm already a big fan.

the goat, cant wait for 3.2. Came from itch, appreciate the site recommendation too.

Must play if you like games with good balance between actual gameplay and lewd stuff, plus active developer. The overviewis too short for how goated the game is lmao

Impressive game, it's has a lot of charm and good things in it, my only problem is the RNG for some of the events, but the game still in development (3.0.1), I can't wait for what the developers are cocking for us

The core gameplay loop is really fun and shows a lot of promise especially given the game is still fairly early in development

There are some issues at the time of this review but nothing unusual for early development, mostly:
    • It can get extremely grindy, especially for non-core portions.
      • The running sequence takes forever to progress through levels with far too much clicking and too little variation to make it enjoyable.
      • The party event sequence has success outcomes buried behind way too many dice rolls. To the point it is practically impossible to even get them in a playthrough at all.
        • Especially that room break-in vignette. Three d8+6 rolls in a row with an 11 target. And you only get the have that d8+6 basically the very end of the game, when you have all the dice roll upgrades. And you still get only 1:8 odds?
      • It's the sort of thing that gets resolved as development hits its groove so probably won't apply in a few months
    • Art is inconsistent and also sparse (both writing and CGs).
      • Again, early development. It will find its groove I'm sure
That said there is one tricky issue that I hope the game can work through. Which is, the core concept is a very niche fetish. Because most people are actually not comfortable with non-consent. Even if it is consensual non-consent, which the story is not at the moment.

But sure, it is a common theme in JAV so there is still an audience.

Another issue is, it's a constraint for storytelling. Which can be good for limiting the scope so that you don't get lost trying to make yet another "sandbox". But can be bad if you want to expand the story because it limits your options. Do the girl(s) grow to like the MC to the point of consenting to sex? If so, how do they come to terms with the fact that the MC assaults and even rapes them in their sleep? Sure it's not violent rape but still involves substances and unconsciousness, which is not a comfortable theme for most people even if the victims are mere cartoon drawings.

All in all it's definitely a fresh breath and I hope it becomes one of the best games on this site. The only game I felt this way here before despite similar criticisms was "Masters of Raana" years back, and it eventually did not disappoint. Things just take time and patience.

This game has been really fun, but it also has one of my main positive biases clash against a major negative one for me.

To start with the positives: This is genuinely a fun game at its core. The gameplay loop makes a lot of sense and you as a player, have a good sense of progression. Some parts can feel a bit grindy, especially the parties in the early loops, where it feels like you inevitably run out of stamina, but still at most other parts the systems work very well. I always rate games on this platform higher, if they actually feel like games, if there is some actual gamepaly, and this game so far does that exceptionally well.

I am extremely negatively biased against the use of AI. I think it's unethical, it's always ugly (some of the assets and backdrops of this game definitely have this ugly AI feel to them, like Yuna's booobs in the watching TV groping or shower scene) and it has no place in any creative work. To be fair to the dev, this game probably uses AI CG in the best possible way, but I personally still very much hate it and am opposed to it.

The fact that I'm still giving this game 4* is a testament to how good the other aspects of it truly are, from the gameplay to the characters to the general vibe of the whole thing. If this were a completely finished game with genuine pixel art done by a human and not some clanker, for me, it would be up there with the best of the best. I still very much enjoyed it for what it is, despite myy biases against AI.

Great game, very entertaining, has a lot of potential if the developer adds more than just one npc to interact with, but once they add more characters this can be a great game, also nice drawings and graphics, I hope they also add some more rooms to go with

    Wasn't sure if I should give 2 or 3, but I decided 3.
This has potential to be 5 star game, but the amount of griding is ridiculous.
Scenes and gameplay are top tier but there's not enough of them that could compensate the ridiculous amount of grinding. Stamina grinding, stats grinding, money grinding. After a LOOONG time I managed to unlock tongue option hoping that it will push progress forward, but it wasn't the case, grinding ahead of me was like 5x bigger than before. I got annoyed and I used cheats and it turned out the game doesn't have much to offer. 2 very nice penetration scenes, blowjob and boobjob. It's okay, but not for ~2h of grinding (if not more). I don't know how to make her to put the clothing we buy for her (although I have maxed out relationship) and I lost motivation to try.
Tip for dev: items in the shop should be 3x cheaper and stats should increase 2x faster.
There is also a rewind option and tbh I don't know why it exists.

One of two games that I felt compelled to actually rating on this website. This is a side project?! It's actually nutty how much I like this game.

It's still a small game for sure, was able to "finish" it in a couple of hours, but to be honest I loved it. The game play is a little slow to get going, but you can start snowballing pretty easilly on getting the perks. (or just cheat if you are boring.)

The art style is very nice, eye catching but not over the top. Side characters have banger designs on top of it. Can't wait to see what else MoonDev has in store.

Wow, an absolut masterpiec. Something you whana play. Storytelling and Gameplay are really good for that status of the game (Version 0.3.0.2.). If there will come more Events and some deeper gameplay it is one of the best games here. The only Problem is there is tooo less content.

Looking forward to seeing more content, the art is amazing and original and it was a long time since I had such fun playing a h-game. The concept is very original, maybe a little bit more of music or of variety of scenarios would be welcomed.

    REC v0.3.0.1

This game has a pretty simple and somewhat fantastical premise, but it doesn’t break its own internal logic, which, in my experience, many games in this genre tend to fail at. Despite that, it manages to stay coherent and doesn’t become ridiculous. The gameplay is what really hooks you: in just two days, I completed the game in about 8 hours, including the story and main events, not counting optional content like collecting all items or completing the running minigame, which makes it a gem for players who love to complete everything (which I’m not, honestly).

    Gameplay

One of its strongest points. Although the game is based on repeating certain scenes (loops), you never feel like you’re doing exactly the same thing. You need to farm resources to unlock upgrades and progress in the main minigame: recording your roommate without getting caught.

Pros: simple, intuitive, and very engaging gameplay.
Cons: early on, it can be hard to get long recordings, but this gets easier as you improve your camera through the running minigame and store upgrades.

    Art

This is definitely the game’s strongest aspect. It presents a very well-crafted mix of pixel art and 2D (I’m not sure how to exactly define the style), but the important thing is that it works incredibly well. In games with little development time, it’s common to find either excellent art but little else, or solid gameplay with recycled graphics. This game manages to balance both.

Each scene is designed with great detail and, above all, they are very, very sexy, which is much appreciated when eroticism is the focus. For those of us who value this visual style, seeing work like this is a delight.

Character Design: There are three main characters: the player (still without a defined face), Kan (a roommate with a design fitting the story context), and Yuna, who clearly has been carefully crafted to fit perfectly both in the story and scenes.

Animations: few but very well done. It’s clear the developer prioritized quality over quantity, and succeeded.

    Story

Simple but functional plot: a broke student finds by chance a camera that allows him to record intimate situations and improve his life. It may sound unbelievable at first, but within the game’s tone, it doesn’t bother. Also, keep in mind this is a demo—the developer himself clarifies this at the end—and instead of rushing a full narrative, he prioritized polishing the mechanics and what really interests the target audience.

    Erotic Content

Now, the important part: sex. In this version, there are two main positions: missionary and doggy style. Although it may seem few, the variety inside each scene (mouth, hands, penis) and how they’re integrated with the gameplay make them more than enough for now.

There are also side scenes unlocked by interacting with Yuna, which change depending on your progress in the game’s stats.

    Sound

The sound is very well integrated. There’s no generic background music like in so many other games of this style, but ambient sounds that fit the situations: camera noises when recording, city sounds when moving around. Voices are well balanced—not overused—but when Yuna speaks or during sexual scenes, they fit perfectly. Any slight mistiming would ruin the effect, so I really appreciate the care here.

    Personal Opinion

That said, I comment my opinion as someone who has literally never written a single review, sorry if I missed anything.
The game seems incredible to me, a pretty good idea and above all very, very well executed. I’m surprised by the quality of the art and animation this game has compared to many others I’ve tried. I had never been so hooked on a game like this, and this one fascinated me. It seems to me the dev is really competent and not only has a great game to develop ahead but also shows real passion for it. I’d love to financially support, but right now it’s impossible for me. Great work and thanks so much for reading!

Not my main lang, please forgive any mistakes :)

Fun gameplay loop, good sound design, visually appealing, Game is early in development cycle and story reflects that just a bit however the potential is there. Definitely a game that I hope will continue to receive support and I look forward to seeing where the developer takes this game.

What a great game! Definitely recommend, especially for those who loves simulation genre!

While it's still WIP, I can see the potential and can't wait for the dev to finish it, (Doesn't seem like it'll be done any time soon, but seeing the dev working passionately and gave us updates suprisingly fast gave me an optimistic light for this project.) Not to mention, the game works just fine for me so far, but apparently the same can't be said for some people.

I preferred to leave pros and cons for completed game because I can't be bothered to change them later on, but exceptions are due for gems like this.

    Pros:
    - The plot is interesting enough to hook you early on, which I find rare, and it escalates as you progress
    - The gameplay and minigames are very simple and thankfully, not too tedious, which make upgrade comfier
    - Plenty of events that can happen during the day and night
    - Good visual for pixelated style
    - Cute heroine(s)
    Cons:
    - Your stats early game is so low that you're pretty much guarantee to fail all the stat check
    - There are various events, but it seems random what you'll get on that day
    - I get that someone has to check up when you're in the middle of action at night, but why is it the guy who does it?
    - Voice acting is enough, but I wish it could be more

Those are what I can think and see of until v0.3.0.1, but I'll change them in the future. All and all, I have great expectations for this game, and wish the dev good luck!

PSA. Big props and thanks for the dev uploading their game here, and they seem very cool for interacting with their community!

    Cursed Player

Really loved this game so far. The artstyle is nice and pleasing to the eye, the progression is not too grindy or prolonged, the sound design is pretty nice, gameplay wise it's exactly something you'd expect from a game like that - it's simple and responsive. Can't wait for future updates and more stuff to come.
Some little bugs and ideas I could mention:
    - The sound effect during stamina limit increase message/whenever you find anything during jogging is not affected by UI volume slider(it's much louder than the same sound effect being used elsewhere).
    - Maybe, potentially, make the volume sliders to work on percentage instead of dbs? I feel like that'd make it easier to utilize.
    - Would be nice to have inventory tab on the PC screen that would work as a list of all items you have (just a basic list of item-name/amount or something), so one could quickly glance at it instead of having to check each item in the shop one by one. That would also work well with items you can't buy from shop and only get from enemy drops.
    - Add hotkey toggle for autoskip, possibly? For more controlled skips and all.
