regarding censorship in games

i was just looking around and there seems to be some misunderstandings when it comes to mosaic censorship in games around here.

for one, if a game has "no/mosaic" listed as it's form of censorship then yes, it is in fact a censored game since the mosaic/pixelation is obscuring the naughty bits seen in the game.

black bar (redacted), mosaic/pixelation, laser dick, so-called "god rays", fuzzy pixelation to name a few... these are all forms of censorship used in porn. and are extremely common sights when it comes to japanese porn.

so, regardless of whether or not a game has cut content. if it has pixelation obscuring the naughty bits then, ye, it is censored and should be labeled as such.

maybe "no/mosaic" should be changed to a far more accurate "yes/cut content" or "yes/*type of censorship here*/*cut content if there is any*".

if the game has any censorship then it should say "yes" otherwise "no" if there isn't any. it's a simple yes or no question.

true but when it comes to censorship it should be properly labeled regardless of where the content is from.

mosaic (aka pixelation), same goes for black/transparent censor bars, black/white genitals (aka laser dick), so-called "god rays", etc.. regardless of where the content is from or the laws of that country, these are all forms of censorship and should all be tagged as such if any number of them appear in-game.

i remember getting into an argument here one time where a guy kept refusing to properly label a game as "censored: yes" when it clearly had mosaic censorship. his argument was basically that it wasn't censorship because he didn't think it was.

Yes. As long as something, whatever it's sexually related or not, isn't fully and clearly displayed, then it's censored. There's no need to argue, it's just a fact.

Along with that thought let me add another. If there is a way to remove the censorshit whether a patch or mod made by the artist or a fan it should have at least a mention and maybe a link. Censorship irritates me and I don't generally dl and NEVER buy games with it unless it can be disabled in some way. A good example is how quickly Illusion games get uncensored. Personally I think they make them easy to mod to increase sales. There are lots of mods and patches out there so it's a good idea that might increase traffic here.

Strange thing is not that long ago you could buy magazines and books with fully nude uncensored underaged girls with hairless pussies in full color close-ups. The law back then was no pubic hair allowed. I think it started after the war. I have seen low res copies of some of them.

There are a few people around here notorious for improper tagging, (un)censored and Loli being the worst by far. Mosaics absolutely are censorship, but if you say otherwise in a thread controlled by aforementioned individuals they often ignore you or put no/mosaics in the description rather than properly classifying it as censored.
As for Loli, it is a body type, not an age. The comics section is riddled with things tagged as "Loli" because the character depicted is under 18, yet has the body of a normal adult. Loli is short of stature and small of breast, with the exclusion of Oppai Loli.

If such a plugin for the server exists, I recommend a new genre/tag system that users could vote up and down for the accuracy of each tag

Not the information I was basing it on. The population itself is declining. Like some of the European countries they have less babies being born then people dying. The birthrate is declining in many places for different reasons. Some have to do with economic, social or sexual issues. Some because less women want to become pregnant. Pregnancy is a big step that can be physically, mentally and emotionally draining. In some cases it could even be fatal. No surprise women use contraception or chose not to have sex.
