Thank you for your reply. As I mentioned before, I am a beginner developer and I’m building this program with the help of AI. Some of the things I share are actually what the AI tells me, so in a way I’m just passing along its words. I originally used UTF-8 assuming it would work fine for all languages; however, the AI looked at your error and suggested that it might be a format issue, so I proceeded based on that.
The AI also noted that
the 0xbb byte usually comes from Windows-1251 (Cyrillic) or CP1252 encoding. In other words, it assumed UTF-8 wasn’t working properly and tried to fix it accordingly. I relied on that and passed the information to you.
If I gave you incorrect information, I apologize; as I said, I only conveyed what the AI explained to me. Thank you again for your feedback. I will continue testing the program on more games and work on improving the output format and filter system. Because of this, the next update may take some time. Also, if you have any suggestions for improving the filter and format system, I’d be glad to hear them. The filter system in particular has been challenging: when I make it aggressive, it translates things that shouldn’t be translated; when I reduce its aggressiveness, it fails to translate things that should be translated. Unfortunately, I’ve been struggling with this filter and output format issue ever since I released the first version of the program. :/
