Renpy .exe being deleted

Hi, I have a problem that was rarely happening but is more frequent lately, let's get to the problem:
1. When I download a renpy game, unzip it and click on ".exe", the computer starts processing, the game screen appears but disappears quickly, along with that the ".exe" is deleted and I can't recover it.
2. If I try to unzip again the ".exe" is deleted when unzipping.
I heard this is an anti virus error a while ago, but I don't remember the post, can someone help me please?

Sounds like it could be a trigger-happy AV quarantining/sandboxing/deleting the file. What anti-virus are you using? I'm really only experienced with Windows Defender as it's all anyone really needs unless you're fucking around on sketchy porn websites or downloading shit from the darknet/deepweb. Excluding it from your AV is the best option, assuming this is the issue.

Search "Windows Security" > Virus & Threat Protection > "Manage Settings" under Virus & Threat Protection settings > Exclusions and then "Add or Remove Exclusions" > Hit "+ Add an exclusion" > Find the .exe file of the Ren'py game you want to play and add it. That should do it, again, provided your AV is the issue here.

Your second option is just outright turning it off while you're playing. Search "Windows Security" > Virus & Threat Protection > "Manage Settings" under Virus & Threat Protection settings > Real-Time Protections > Turn the slider off. Not the most ideal way to do it, also easy to forget to turn it back on and putting you in potential danger (though Chrome/Edge do a decent job at protecting you from bad websites.). Hope either of these help. :)

I usually use kaspersky/avast as I browse pirated sites and porn sites.

Edit: Apparently it's working, I'll put the post as resolved tomorrow.
