Ren'Py fps counter won't go away?

Hey, I've spoken to a few developers already and they said Renpy doesn't have a built in frame counter but I know its not Geforce and I saw the frame counter appear in a screenshot from a developer. I just want the thing to go the fuck away, it turns on and off repeatedly the entire time I try to play and I'm losing my mind trying to figure out what is causing it. Closest guess I have is that a button on my laptop is messed up and its doing it. I attached some screen shots to show the counter im talking about. Anyone know what I can do to stop this torment? lol

On a desktop computer you press F3 to toggle the frame counter.
On a laptop try Fn+F3.
