RenPy games start only after reboot

For the last few days I have experienced a very strange thing. RenPy games won't start after clicking on the exe. However, when doing a reboot, they always start. I have rtx3038 and win11. I have never had this issue before. Could it be a Windows update issue, since I had one in exactly the mentioned timeframe?

Hello, can you attach the log generated by the Ren'Py games? Also, can you try to whitelist the game in your antivirus, and disable any overlay that might conflict with it? Can you try with a single monitor? How long does it take from the reboot before they stop executing, have you tried? What do you do between the time you reboot and the games failing to execute?

Are there services or apps that execute late? Do you open specific apps that eventually make ren'py games fail to execute?

Do you click on the exe in a file explorer or on a desktop icon?
In windows 11 for some time I have it that sometimes the perfectly visible desktop is not accessible to mouseclick, I have to Win+D and then the desktop / icons can be accessed. A reboot would also work.

That is extremely odd. So since games will run after a reboot, how long does it take for them to not work? Can you like only run one single game once and the second time won't work?
If this happens with multiple games, I suppose we can rule out a corrupted game data.
