You can make the renders with UE5 but you always need to have a Novel engine and Ren'Py is the most used. Big community, a lot of guides and tutorials and easy to use.
I'm using VaM to create my renders, and i'm also willing to learn Daz3D. But how more I see about UE5, how more i'm willing to try UE5 to create my renders.
I have a little bit expierence with Unreal Engine, I created some things in Unreal Engine 2 a 3 a while ago. Never used 4, but I did received a early access for Unreal Engine 5, but never used it. Now it's released in public.
But i'm very impressed how far the Unreal Engine goes. They don't aim only on game's anymore but also the movie industries.
Here is even a framework named MetaHuman for UE5. Already 1.5 million different characters has been build with this framework. You can also use real scans of people and other technique's.
