Kind Of game when u rule a kingdom and got some features that u can control ur army or go war with another country it's so enjoyable to play even there's some grinding but that's fine the adults content is just like a bonus u feel me like that's making the story bout the games feels alive, like what kind of king that rule a fckin country that doesn't has a bitch right

The premise is pretty great. You come across the heir to the throne who was raised in secret when assassins take him out.
You kill the assassins and then steal his identity.

The execution is poor. Wide puddle lacking depth.
Dialog and plot is poor.
Art does not impress.
Too many token scenes instead of a focus on a couple of specific fetishes.
Bad combat.
Walking simulator.

This game is really bad and boring.

The story is very badly written and the dialogue is boring.

The characters all have very little personality.

The art is too inconsitent and never looks more than average.

The combat is very boring standart RPG.

I think the biggest problem is that the game tries to do too much at the same time and never focuses on a single aspect which makes everything feel shallow and bad.

I would only recommend it for poeople who are new to porn or RPG games, atleast it has much content.

Review of v23.11.23 is a 7/10 from me but rounding down for stars for the average player.
Time to complete was 30 hours for main story and 60 for most of the rest of the scenes
Would I recommend this game? Only for hardcore jrpg fans, otherwise the hundreds of battles and aimless questing will likely wear everyone else out.

The romances you can have with most girls is extremely shallow and most girls only have one scene because there are just so many

I played this game 4 years ago and really enjoyed it, but plot wise it hasn't gotten very far since then. I think this game really could have benefitted from the dev splitting the new stuff into a 2nd game rather than tacking stuff on to this one for years, especially with the new art style and personality of the main character feeling vastly different. Quests and cgs are very difficult to get in a lot of instances because so many different prerequisites need to be met that the game doesn't tell you about, a hint system would be a lifesaver. Overall it's a game I had a lot of fun with, but there are a lot of flaws that mostly stem from the long development time of the game.

As wide as the ocean, as deep as a puddle, you are thrown into a kingdom as the new ruler, you have many quests to do, but far too often you have no clue where you are supposed to go cause there isn't a global map available for you, the quest progression is often far too tedious because you have no clue where to find the people in the quest, there's readily available cheats at your bed in the castle which is absolutely hilarious, "animated" tag, but <5% of H-scenes are animated, the other 95% are 2D CGs, combat is meh, you just gotta grind levels, why is this the highest rated game in this category?

it's good and i love how it combine strategy, rpg, sandbox, management into one. and i hope some girl potrait got a new remake like tsubaki for more cute apperance like on full body view. the first time i play i though that tsubaki was a boy. but the great think was this get more and more updates with more and more and even more interesting story. that why this one of my favorite games

There's a lot more games that can do combat, story, art, music, and more better than Renryuu Ascension so just go play those games instead. HOWEVER the fact that this game contains a lot of girls (I'm talking about more than 150 girls) you can fuck that are virgins is a 5/5 to me instantly.

In all seriousness, all the aspects of this game is above average at best if you are generous (combat, story, art, music, etc.) and below average or mediocre if you are harsh. The only best part of this game is how vast the content is both in pure gameplay or sex scenes and it is still getting updates meaning more girls to fuck but going back to the topic, if one of your fetish falls around these:

• Virgins/Defloration (I think, this is the main selling point of the game for the h part of it since about 95% of the girls are virgins)
• Rape
• Male Domination
• Harem
• Elf Girls (a lot of them actually)
• Monster Girls (yes, even you can fuck your enemies/monsters)

then go play this game, if not just skip it.

there's a huge variety of characters, and seemingly endless amount of quests / scenes. it's an impressive amount of content and decent to good writing depending on the section. if you're not a stickler for a singular art style, would recommend. there's going to be something to suit your fancy. 9/10

The only con point i have: i feel the recent quests don't have any bad path and it gets to lovely and happy. You are becoming more and and more a hero. In the begin i can put the girls in my secret dungeon and rape them. I like to see more male dom and corruption. If want to be hero i can play any other rgp. Don't get me wrong i like this game but it would be even greater if you had more darker options. I'm at this where i don't even read the sex parts any more because "I love you so much... etc"- variants.

Side note: I have high hopes for the war system and conquering the other countries.

This game is by far the best I’ve played on this site and played plenty of them.

World in which this game plays out feels very alive, There is tons of content to go through, tons of quests and just things to do in general.

Battle system is very good imo, I enjoy it a lot. You can make your own build, you have 11 characters + MC to choose from for 4 formation group, you can swap those companions however you wish to. Everyone of them have their own abilities and skilltrees to put points in.

There is dungeon and raid system where you can farm XP, gear with different rarities and materials for crafting.

Choices you make have impact on the world and world changes by your actions. You build your own country to get strong and rival other countries around you.

Writing is also very good and pretty funny actually on some occasions, main characters have their own personalities and are unique. Some secondary characters might feel bit bland, but it is justified by you being king, therefore they like to please you.

There are dozens chicks to have fun with, you can choose destiny over many of them (good/evil path).

Art is the weakest point of this game imo due to inconsistency. You can say which art is older and therefore doesn’t look very good. However there is plenty of very nice looking art and I believe that dev is gonna work on that.

This game is HUGE and still have tons of potential for me it is 10/10 and I didn’t cover everything at all.

Feels very rushed, story moves too fast, and in an inorganic way. The characters are badly written and don't think or act logically for the most part, they aren't a completely lost cause but they aren't great.

The art is inconsistent and all over the place which causes cognitive dissonance, so this hentai game isn't even good for the thing hentai games are good for, and so your willy will be in a state of being perpetually flaccid.

The music almost never changes, which leads to a lacking of impact because the things and events that could be emphasized using soundtrack changes weren't. Even the common music most RPG Maker games use, if used properly, at the appropriate times can have an impact but even that small effort wasn't made.

This was my experience after playing the game for a very short period of time, because it made me so annoyed that I deleted it, and motivated me to write my first review on this site.

Quite an amazing game, It touches many aspects on what makes an RPG game. The character interactions and romance feels very natural, They Actually have Personality! The systems in place for your Kingdom is quite well done for a RPG maker game. The quests are not too difficult and are not copy and pasted from each other. The story so far is quite well done and engaging. The Scenes are also quite well done, I just wish some were a bit longer. The combat is nothing too special, The perk tree makes up for that. Overall quite a good game despite it not being finished yet! 9/10 for me!

This game is a vast puddle. There is such a wide array of mechanics and girls that it can easily feel overwhelming for newcomers. I even tried and dropped the game twice before simply because the number of early tutorials seemed like too much. Now that I've finally gotten through most of [v22.12.06] though it's become clear just how shallow everything is.

Most of these mechanics you'll barely interact with until they become absolutely necessary for a quest. At which point they become a grinding process that halts the story. Which doesn't mean quests not using these unique mechanics are any less of a grind. Many of the quests are "travel there, talk to person/get item, travel back here." The writing makes it clear that the dev is aware of how slow and boring this is, but almost every single quest is still structured this way.

For most girls this results in a single repeatable sex CG with cum and virgin blood variants. The main girls get several progression CGs, but compared with the scale of the game you can easily go hours between talking to them. This is terrible for getting people attached to the LIs as they become little more than another quest board.

Combat is just as grindy as the quests. There's very little difference between equipment or level stats so progression feels unfulfilling. Skills are almost useless unless they impose status effects. Attack skills that should deal double or triple damage compared to basic attacks only manage an extra 25%-50%. Elemental attacks don't seem to add any damage at all unless it's the specific weakness of an elemental enemy. Monsters will grind away your health with numbers and burn or poison status ailments, but the only real threats are bosses which can usually kill your party members in 2 or 3 attacks seemingly regardless of your level.

A lot of the individual parts of the game could have been great. Together they don't get enough polish to shine properly. And that leaves players with a dull experience that isn't worth the time investment needed to get content.

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILER

After the main quest and almost finishing all the side content I think this game deserves a review: It's a 5* in his genre: eroge RPG. I'll divide the review in 5 parts, RPG aspect, eroge aspect, pros and cons for each one , and finally suggestions.

RPG ASPECT

Renryuu: Ascension actually has a gameplay, which is rare to find amidst eroge games, in it's current state (v22.10.13) you're in for around 60h of content.

PROS:
- Kingdom management
Progressing with your kingdom is fun, you don't feel like a chore and you can feel the impact of the upgrades/constructions, it's very satisfying seeing how your country was and how it's evolving.
- Side quests
You have a good amount of side quests, mostly of them actually have a good story and characters, they help the immersion and world-building
- Resettable skill tree
It's easy to reset your skill tree and try new talents and gameplay
- Party-wide EXP
When you get EXP the whole party gains even the inactive party members, which is amazing, making possible to change your party and skills to try new things.
- "end game" content
The game has a "raid" content, which feature dungeons which different gameplay elements, rewarding the player with legendary gear, I'm enjoying grinding them and feel rewarded with those gears.
- Freedom to move around world map
And soon as you get to the world map you can move freely around it, there's some main story locked places, but the vast majority is accessible, yes, you may find some high level enemies, and this is nice, the game don't hold your hand and give you a "on rail experience"
- Marriage system
You can get married to your waifu! Actually, all of them. I don't know how relevant it'll be in the future, but I've high hopes.

CONS:
- Lack of good soundtrack
The game has soundtrack, but it's forgettable, currently, I've only enjoyed one. I don't think it's enough to lower its rating, but a good soundtrack is amazing for immersion and world-building.
- Vanguard Squad Combat
If the Kingdom Management is amazing and one of the selling points for this game, the Vanguard Squad Combat system is its nemesis, it's boring, I don't feel rewarded by doing the combat and it takes too long. Mostly of the time I'm using the academy to level up my vanguard leaders. The positive aspect is the equipment system, leveling the leaders traits, unlocking new leaders and getting better equip for them is a good feature.
- Skill tree structure
You don't feel that the talents actually change a lot of things (gameplay-wise) or are impactful, besides, you can tell that there are some outdated trees, compare Tsubaki tree with Ryoko.
- Confusing triggers
There are some triggers for side quests and progressing overall that aren't intuitive, sometimes even the walkthrough is obscure, besides, using the walkthrough is a double-edge sword that can't take the fun for some players, so relying on it for progression shouldn't be a given.
- Lack of clarification
There are some omitted information, example: Some items increase your critical rate, but don't say by how much. I can't tell which skill is stronger or if they hit the same and the only variable is the element (fire, lighting, etc), and there are some party members that use some variables (Mirel, Chiyo) in combat, but until you see the skill in the talent or start finding the events that increase said variable you've no idea that it exist.

EROGE ASPECT

PROS:
- Almost "vanilla" experience
The game contains rape and some dark aspect, but they are there for world-building, your interactions with party members are usually light, you can go for a more "dark approach" with the main character, but overall the game stays out of ntr, rape, corruption, and many other tags that are abundant in other games.
- Pregnancy system
You can get almost every female character pregnant, and it seems it'll be relevant for future content, at the moment, it's irrelevant, but it's promising.
- New/few scenes are animated
Personally I think that nowadays a game must have animated scenes if it wants to be relevant, Renryuu has some animated, especially near the end, which gives me the feeling that when the game started to get more popularity the developer increased the artwork quality


CONS:

- Body shape
Almost all female character have the same body type, big tits, shaved pussy, etc. I think the game has like 3 characters that arent like that. I would like to see more variety in the girls body shape, tits, hips, shaved/hairy, etc..
- Few choices
What you have is a good/evil route with some girls, I would appreciate if you actually got locked out of some girls because of your decisions. Example: You can only have sex/relationship with X character IF you sided with Y faction.
- Main character
This is also related to the last problem, every single girl in the continent wants your dick, you're the badass that fucks everyone, it feels very naive and off-world this writting for the main character, with my currently hours of gameplay I would actually be impressed if I had to work to actually fuck a girl that isnt a party member, or even yet, don't get her.
- Non-animated scenes
If having animated scenes are one of the good points, the older scenes are pretty generic, nothing special, few variation.

SUGGESTIONS:

• Currently, the game has a cooking system, but it's not useful, the bonus/recovery it provides arent necessary even for the hardest content. Suggestion: The first time you cook something it gives a permanent bonus, it can be small, party-wide, whatever, but it'll make the player go around hunting recipes and ingredients to cook everything.
• The game currently has a lot of girls with superficial interactions that you can have sex with, but few sex scenes. Suggestion: Stop with new characters and focus on new side quests, dialogs and sex scenes with the current ones. Jessy is too precious to have so few interactions!
• The way you play with the main character don't impact the kingdom. Suggestion: I would like to see buildings and/or different sprites for the buildings depending on how you play with the MC (evil routes, good routes, arresting thief guild, etc.)
• Rework the skill tree in a more non-linear and impactful way, I can't suggest examples due to review rules (I think), but there are many ways to do it.
• As said prior, the game doesnt focus on soundtracks, I don't know how easy it is to find free samples/libraries to use, but don't under estimate their value for immersion, both for gameplay aspect (villain, city themes, etc.) and eroge aspect (sex scene, girl personality, enviroment, etc.).

TLDR: 5 star RPG game, 60h+ gameplay, good kingdom management, generic sex scenes.

This is one of the rare gameplay eroges from a western dev. GAMEPLAY! Make sure you understand this. Don't go into this expecting the usual porn VN or even RPGM scene hunting situation. In many ways, the game should remind you of Roundscape if you have played that. There is a bit more focus on challenging content and RPG elements though.

So assuming you come into this with the right expectations, is it enjoyable? Hell yea! There is a metric crapload of content. I clocked nearly 70 hours. There are plenty of story content and side quests. There are extremely challenging end game dungeons that you can grind for legendary equipment. Basically, if you enjoy character builds, skill trees, team synergies, and other such notions, you will absolutely have fun playing this.

Now the game isn't without its issues. The game is essentially balanced for the mid game onwards. Early game is pretty wack. Monster types have static levels and the vast majority of areas you can (and should) explore to recruit all the characters ASAP are absolutely overpowered compared to the early game party. Even if you play blind, just doing things as they naturally appear via quests and proximity to the starting capital, you will have to run away from nearly every wandering monster.

The frustrating thing is, running away doesn't freeze or turn the mob transparent like you'd expect. You can immediately get caught again by the same mob. When running is such a huge part of the game (because you have to or you don't feel like fighting chumps later), it can get quite annoying.

Also, the MP requirements of some skills you can get quite early are essentially balanced with end game stats in mind. You might see a normal run of the mill attack spell cost like half of your entire early game MP pool. The balance issues gets resolved when you start getting past lvl 20 or so and find the right groove.

The other issue is the kingdom management part and the exploration part not meshing together in harmony. They are essentially 2 entirely separate systems. There is no time pressure at all in the kingdom management turn systems. You can pass turns to your heart's content to build stuff. The only limiting factor is gold. You collect taxes based on real time passed, so at some point, you need to get out of the kingdom management screen and go back to playing the exploration. Some quests and conditions during the exploration part requires certain buildings and upgrades from the kingdom management part. In that way, you could say that there is a loose tie in between the 2 systems, but it does feel quite disjointed in practice.

Both the aforementioned issues largely stem from the completely open world approach where the player can go and do whatever they please in any order. It's to be expected, and to be frank, the open world approach is quite a complex beast to tackle as a dev. For the most part, it's been executed admirably.

Finally, I'll briefly talk about the porn aspect. It's basically a standard feel good harem game. There are a handful of rapey stuff, but if you are hoping to be a tyrant abusing his powers to corrupt and bang bitches, it's just not that type of story. Personally, I'm not really into low stakes lovey dovey stuff, so I skipped through the vast majority of scenes. That said, there is a "gotta catch'em all" aspect to it that is sort of a mini game for me. Trying to impregnate literally every possible thing lol.

TL/DR
Play this if you are exited by the prospect of actual RPG gameplay.

One of the best games I've ever played I love the mechanics and the characters besides having a lot of content it also has a lot of hours of gameplay I also like that I have important choices and I appreciate very much that I do not have ntr since it is one of the genres that I dislike the most.

This blows Harem Collector out of the water in depth and extent of content alone. The one thing that bums me is the skill level is capped at 99. And it's obviously going to be a while before the time skip is ready considering the amount of kids that have to be added to the game. But I will wait eagerly.

A great hentai rpg with many features.
The story is rich and unique. And the side characters have deep stories, the game also have a turn based war like fire emblem. Got many waifus to lay on them.

The world is big and vast. The story isn't finished but its already long. And some questlines is based on your choices. I love the main character because his personality.
