Is it possible to get Maho Tama running on Windows 10? because no matter what i do i can't get it to launch, i even tried compatibility mode and launching with JP locale and everything still no dice

Hello! I just noticed your comment today and to answer your question, yes indeed it's possible to get Maho Tama Vol. 1-6 to run on Windows 10! I recently (Back in January 2023) downloaded the games and ran into various problems running Vol. 1 and Vol. 6.

Vols 2-5 were easy to run, but Vol. 6 was a little troublesome while Vol. 1 was a nightmare to get running! Thankfully after some many hours, I found a solution but not by me but someone else, a modified crack for vol. 1 made back in 2014!

Everything else I figured out on my own!
Because of how frustrating it was getting them to run, I wrote down notes on how to run the games at the time so you're in luck!

Read this to help you get them running!

You probably have to give up on it, buddy, unless willing to go down the extremely annoying and not-sure-it-is-worth-to-play-the-game-this-way route with VirtualBox/other emulator mentioned in the thread.

After downloading and testing one of the In series games on my Win10 x64 comp, I couldn't get it to run at all unfortunately...however I noticed that the ags.exe file for the In Series are over 1 MB compared to the MahoTama series ags.exe files that are normally around 300 KB so there's probably something to do with that.

But I did some research and found in this article here (Written in Japanese):

that the DLsite version of the In series works on Windows 10 x64 without any modifications so if you want to buy or find those DLsite/DMM/DL ver. (compared to iso/dvdrip versions found online) you can do that.

Most likely not, there were differences in opcodes between the ags.exe between each game for the Love Fetish series, so trying to load up a script from another game would crash the ags.exe, due to the script parser desyncing (expecting arguments, when there are none, or vise versa etc)

Yup he’s right as I already tried using a different ags.exe on the in-series and it crashed when it ran.

I used the Mahotama 6 exe on In-series game btw so no luck there. Only the DLsite/Fanza/etc versions will work.

Ah I see, well if it works for ya then it's fine. I do know that Duck Duck Go will filter out results at times which is annoying but other times I guess it can be useful. Yup!
