VALORIA
A dark fantasy RPG blending rich storytelling and 3D action gameplay.

SYNOPSIS

You were someone who had lost all purpose.
Days passed without meaning until the world itself collapsed.

A sudden catastrophe took your life... yet it was not the end.
You awaken in Valoria, a realm of magic and myths, where light still shines despite the shadows growing beneath.
Drawn to the city of Rakagos, one of the last strongholds of civilization, you find yourself given a second chance
but in a world where destiny, power, and desire intertwine far more dangerously than you could ever imagine.

DEMONSTRATION VIDEO

I already made a thread and this project is "its continuation" but they are so different now that I simply couldn't continue the other thread (the 2 games don't even have the same name anymore and don't talk about the same thing anymore).
To avoid repeating the same mistakes, I waited until I had finished the core systems of this project, which means that the game is now about 70% ready, which prevents me from giving up along the way or warning me in case something happens to me.
This post is meant to introduce the project and its direction.
A playable demo is not yet available, but you can watch the early gameplay showcase below:

If anyone comes by here, please let me know if you have trouble seeing the thread's images because I can't see anything, and I've tried Imgbox and Imgur, and I still have the same problem. The most important thing for this thread is the demo video, but it still bothers me a bit.

Hello, so I had absolutely not thought of this feature but to please everyone I could make the size of the cock adjustable according to everyone's tastes.

Character Creation System Update

Hey everyone!

I’ve finally added a proper **character creation system**!

Players will now be able to choose between Male, Female, and Futanari.
That means more variety in how the world reacts to your character — and how relationships (including intimate ones ) will evolve.





It’s a huge step forward because this single feature impacts:
- Dialogue variations depending on your chosen gender
- Relationship dynamics with key characters
- Certain exclusive scenes and outcomes
- The overall feeling of replayability

It’s been *a lot* of work behind the scenes to make it dynamic and flexible for future updates, but I’m really happy with how it’s shaping up so far!

To prove I’ve actually been working and not procrastinating (too much xD), here’s a small **video preview** of the system in action

The game keeps evolving and this feature was one of the core things I wanted to nail before moving on to the next steps.

️ City Exploration – First In-Game Demo

I realized I never showed a proper walking demo inside the city, only screenshots.
So here’s a small video showing the main town, NPCs, and some early ambience.
(Sorry in advance, some of you might not like links, but the video is too long and large for the site.)







The city is part of a **semi open-world** structure.
I chose this instead of a “true” open world because for a solo dev, proper level design is insanely hard:
placing important buildings (guild, forge, shops), defining navigation paths, keeping pacing coherent, etc.
Cutting the world into multiple maps allows for better control, more polish, and fewer performance issues.
For the first time, I’m showing the mount system! Right now there’s only a horse, and yes…
It’s still pretty stiff and Minecraft-ish
But it works, and it’s a must-have for a fantasy RPG.
I hesitated to add mounts this early because it requires a lot of work:
rigging, animation, AI, controls, collider setup, behavior logic…
and despite all that, the prototype isn’t perfect yet.

So I’ll run a poll:
Should I include the mount already in version 0.1, or wait until it’s fully polished?

Full Body Physics – Breasts, Butt, Hair & Clothes

Small devlog warning: ATTENTION, BOOB PHYSICS INCOMING xD

I added physics to female characters.
Originally it was only for H-scenes (to avoid weird stuff in combat),
but in the end I decided to apply it everywhere.

It was hard to find the right balance between “realistic” and “stylized”,
but I think the characters feel **100× more alive** now.

- ✔ Breast physics
- ✔ Butt physics
- ✔ Hair physics
- ✔ Clothes physics
- ✔ Optimized so no heavy scripts are needed during H-scenes

About the H-scenes: I’ll post a full, uncensored scene tomorrow as a tutorial.
The H-system isn’t exactly complex, but it’s pretty dense, so I want to show it off and get your feedback.
The scene will feature a male character and Elena.





Intelligent Companion AI (Inspired by Dragon’s Dogma)

I also started working on a smarter companion system inspired by Dragon’s Dogma’s pawns.

Companions can:

- Detect enemies
- Prioritize the closest threat
- Follow the player dynamically
- Teleport if they get stuck or too far
- Assist in combat based on their archetype

This feature adds a LOT more life and immersion to the gameplay.





PS: About the Video Performance

Just to clarify:
If you see lag in the demo videos, it’s because I was running **OBS + Unity Editor** on my GTX 960.
The Unity editor is always heavier than the final build,
so performance will be **much smoother** in the actual game.

i'd say wait to add mounts, looks like your rag dolls are being called twice and your collision hit detection is a bit short or the enemy collider is a bit too thin for the punches. Looks awesome bud, and an incredible amount of work for one dev, best of luck!

hot dam, do you have any advice for world streaming or is it just object culling? Its running that on a 960 sheeesh. whats your fps in the open world scenes? Any gems of optimization advice?

Also tagging your game as VN honestly makes me think its 2D game so there might be an expectation miss match, but thats my gut feeling.

Thanks for the feedback! And sorry, when I created the thread I didn't mean to add it; I just clicked on the available options and must have left it there without realizing it. I don't know if it can be removed.

Yes, I'm a Unity developer, it's nice to meet others like me. Regarding optimization in the city, I was getting 60 fps and I hadn't even enabled occlusion culling or anything like that yet (so it'll go even higher). The secret to optimization for me? Reuse and reuse again. You shouldn't create too many drawcalls, so you have to try to reuse the same assets as much as possible with small variations. Then I designed a small level streaming script that allows me to divide the Unity terrain into several small scenes that unload when the player is too far away, and with that, addressables!!! And thanks for the advice on ragdoll, it was driving me crazy not being able to find the solution. Glad you liked it and good luck with your game, my friend. I know being a solo developer is hard and we often have moments of doubt, but we have to keep moving forward because the worst thing is to give up and the regrets that come with it.

Hey Labbu! Thanks for commenting, it's great to see the game is generating interest! Regarding the ability to skip dialogue, I'm not sure. I designed the game with a strong focus on the story (based on my estimates, version 0.1 will have a playtime of 4 hours, not counting free roam and replayability). And you'll have access to 60% of the H scenes without needing to follow the main plot, and therefore without a lot of dialogue. Hope that puts your mind at ease.

you mentioned the terrain as stream-able scene tile chunks, im guessing this includes the assets / props and trees on it or is there an object pool that moves them in view? i guess it would be more efficient to stream the assets in one chunk since they can remain in place and dont take cpu time being moved rotated scaled every frame. So your definitely using GPU instancing or the newer SRP batching?

dialog skips are QOL and a fundamental feature in games please reconsider. here is an idea for a skip system ill use that respects both the story and the players time:

Yes the terrain chunks include all the assets/props and trees inside them. Everything gets unloaded at once when a chunk goes out of range, and it reloads based on the camera’s field of view using frustum culling.
I’m also using Versatile Impostors for mountains and any objects that are too far away to justify full meshes.

As for optimization:
Yes, I’m using GPU Instancing. I haven’t tested the newer SRP Batching yet it doesn’t feel relevant for my setup at the moment, but maybe later if I see a real benefit.

About the dialogue skip feature I know I might sound stubborn, but it’s honestly not one of my top priorities. Around 60% of the H-scenes in the game are accessible outside of the main story, and I really don’t want to compromise the experience just to make the game fit a certain expectation.
I’m building the kind of game I personally want to play: a full NSFW action-adventure RPG isekai with good character writing and a real story. If someone isn’t into that, there’s plenty of other content for them.

I’m not saying there will never be a skip button but right now, it’s not high on my list.

Thank you for your message, it means a lot to me. And yes, my goal is to finally offer a 3D alternative to the classic visual novel, because it's true that there are many good NSFW 3D games, but they didn't have the emphasis on storytelling that I was personally looking for.
