From what I could understand, the protagonist is persuaded by feminine allures to surrender and submit. There is a rushed ending where the protagonist runs off with the housemaid and leaves everything behind.
Even if you get the protagonist through the game and he proclaims the conquest, the first ending is that the queen uses her charms to persuade him to send his kingdom into slavery for hers. In the real ending, he proposes diplomatic equality, surprising all and causing everyone to live together peacefully.
