Revisiting my project again would like some feedback on art

I posted that i would like to try my hand at creating a visual novel of my own M/M and i am returning to it after having practicing drawing a lot over the summer to bring my abilities in line with what i wanted. What do you guys think? Also what would you like to see in such a game, i want to use this project as an excuse to put myself under pressure to preform so to speak so i can deliver on something that people enjoy and can hold me accountable for so your comments are appreciated.

For reference, the setting/plot i guess is just some college-age guys figuring things out about themselves as they enter into adulthood.

Also is renpy the prefered medium for a game and if so could someone point me towards excersises denoting how to make something with it for me reading the instructions just left me more confused than not.
