I spent a lot of time of my last 2 weeks messing with daz and was real fun en enjoyable to some extent. But Now my 5060ti 16gb arrived and Its like was all for nothing.
Daz doesn't work with nvidea 5000x series. so the turnaround would be use daz 4 without Iray and import the project on daz 6 to render in iray. But Half of the scene dont work properly when imported, because you know, its a alpha program. I'm gonna try learn blender and IA but I'm not gonna spend months and years of my life on a software that about to die any moment.

Does that count as ntr

-edit (for serious answer)-
Messing around for 2 weeks is nowhere near a lot of time, just remake the scenes, especially if it's just half. Not that big of a deal really

-edit (for another serious answer)-
Also, Blender and to some extent AI, is not mutually exclusive to Daz3D. Many people use DAZ3D, then bridge to Blender, and even refine it with AI.

-edit (for a not serious answer)-
But really, does that count as cucked by GPU? Or is it more like cucked by Daz3D? I need to know

It feels like it's taking them a really long time to bring Daz up to speed. It's been almost a year.

At this point it's a question of what comes first, full Daz support for the 50x0 series, or Nvidia releases the 60x0 cards.

It's more a free relationship. Daz Studio let him do whatever he want with his 50x, but refuse any threesome.

-And for the serious part-
It's what happen when you don't read your software specs before spending thousands in a GPU.

Daz Studio 4.x will probably never have support for the 50x series.
With the future 5.x branch, Daz is refactoring Daz Studio (it was about time), they don't really have time to update the 4.x branch, nor real interest into doing it.

Spending 6hrs everyday for 2 weeks it's a lot of time to me, I know mastering stuff takes years but if I spent this 6hrs everyday in something more reliable like blender, zbrush, etc, I would be in a better position right now.

I read the software specs: ,

There no mention about not working a 5000 series unless you specific search on google about daz not working with 5000 series. This just proves the point how amateur and unreliable Daz is.

What are you doing that for? If you plan to make a game, you might spend 6h just to fix a bug. It may seem a lot of time to you, but it's really not.
Besides, a lot of that time was you learning stuff, and knowledge stays with you.

I usually tell anyone listens to learn Daz first as it makes the basics pretty easy to pick up. Then they're able to just learn Blender without having to learn the fundamentals at the same time. Which is what (I feel) makes Blender so intimidating to new users.

And this is exactly why. Daz is dying as a software. Buggy versions, slow updates. Hell, you can't even find previous versions anywhere but a piracy forum. Their money has always come from their storefront, and will until it dies. Wouldn't at all be surprised to see them just open up and aim their assets Blender at some point. Much in the same way Blenderkit does.

Something's wrong with the newer Iray versions. I tried the new studio alpha version. And even with my old GTX 1650 Super, Iray isn't running properly. It renders up to iteration 32 and then starts again from 0. So, completely unusable. I hope it's just because it's an alpha version, but...
