VN - Ren'Py - Ripples [v0.8.0 Public] [Jestur]

It's amazing how good this game looks using HS. The renders are amazing throughout the entire game (Currently chapter 8). I also like how many easter eggs there are for other games. Lots from the dev who made Eternum.

Pros:

1. Interesting story: Made me interested enough to make theories on what's happening throughout. The H-Scenes are great, but even without, the story is pretty good.
2. H-Scenes: Renders are always high quality. Animations for every sex scene. A lot as well.
3. Characters: Each person has different personalities. There are a lot.
4. Audio: Not something I'm picky about, but a lot of effort has been made on them.

Cons:

1. Unequal scenes: I'm sure this will change in the future, but the 'present' timeline girls don't have many scenes. The downside of having so many characters is that they don't get much scenes. All the milfs, the twins and your "room mate".

That's pretty much it. Scarlets super hot both young and old (Probably my favorite looking girl, followed by Skylar of course). Merry Christmas.

Good story, amacing animations, nice chance to meet the characters, just a little slowly and some times much text but enjoyable
The only problem that i see is much time to get an update but i think its understable cus the animations.

A good one. Simple yet interesting. Scenes with sounds from characters. One of the best in genre. You have option to skip dialogues, simple and easy to access scenes replay. The girls look like real human beings with real human proportions.
You don't have much of rough play in it.

A good game with great storyline, animations, characters(except one) and a not so bad MC.
I gave it 4 stars, the reason for not giving 5 is DARCI, I hate that character sooooo much so that I skip all her contents including sex scenes. She is one of the most annoying character written in adult games.

Ripples [ 0.8.0 Public ]

By far my favorite AVN that I've read since I discovered the genre. The characters are extremely likeable in my opinion and I had a blast playing through the entire game (multiple times over the past few years) The presentation is top notch as well as the animations. Each chapter feels distinct yet compelling in their own way which really impressed me. There are a few fair criticisms I've seen but they aren't enough to take it out of the 5 star spot for me. My only personal complaint is that there isn't enough Tiffany content .

Jestur (the dev) did such an amazing job with the story and HS animations that it made me consider becoming an AVN dev myself. Obviously it's a massive undertaking for someone who has zero experience with renpy and so on but that's a different conversation. Overall the game is an absolute 5/5 for me and I am greatly looking forward to the next chapter release whenever that may be!! I'd recommend this to anyone that is interested in AVNs and if you haven't played it yet I'd make it a priority!

Ripples [v.0.8.0] - No Spoilers

The combination of top tier waifus, an intriguing storyline, and a neat script should make Ripples an engrossing experience for anyone.

Off the bat, you might be blown away by the presentation. The cinematography and animations are both surprising and impressive considering the base game/engine being used. There is an abundance of animations, but when used for something like a character dancing, they border on cringeworthy. Thankfully, the sex scenes always benefit from very smooth animations.

Similar to the animations, not every character is created equally. I appreciate this when it comes to the different body types, but some faces, to put it bluntly, are quite ugly. Even characters with tremendously sexy bodies might turn you off a bit with how their faces are modelled. Beyond their looks, everyone is written with a distinctive personality.

The strengths of this game lie in its mysterious story and its soft harem. Typically, when a game tries to tell a more serious story, the writer often keeps you railroaded on as few love interests as possible, if not just one. Ripples manages to entertain you with a dozen potential love interests, and nearly all of them feel important and significant to the MC.

At the end of the day, this is mostly a glorified harem game with tons of typical, visual novel tropes. The presentation with all of its animations will feel excessive, but I respect the developer's ambitions. The sci-fi story is neatly done, but it takes a back seat to the daily-life shenanigans. Regardless, the story is what will have me downloading the next update as soon as its available.

Ripples (through episode 8) is outstanding. The quality of the sex scenes and the story are top notch. Starting with the sex scenes (the most important part for me):

• While not hyper-realistic, the female characters are very attractive.
• Great range of body types
• Excellent use of SFX and female sounds during the scenes
• Several animated (i.e., motion) scenes of good length and seamless looping.
• Many sexually oriented scenes throughout the game.
• Body physics is top notch.
• Multiple viewing angles for each animation.
• Good use of animation speed increases.

I really don't have many criticisms or suggestions:

• There are very few "complete" sex scenes in the early episodes (outside Krystal). Although by episode 5 they come more often and get better.
• The developer made the decision to hide the MC's face. I'm not a fan, but it wasn't done so much as to compromise the scenes. In fact, the MC's face becomes more visible by episode 8. Maybe it will be done away with as the game progresses? I hope so.
• Would be nice to control more during a scene. Such as selecting which animation to see again, control speed, viewing angle, that sort of thing.
• Many of the faces look a little similar, but not jarringly so.

The characters are fun with many showcasing the standard personality types you find in a lot of anime (e.g., the small spitfire, the hot mean girl, the cute innocent), but that's not bad...it's actually fun to interact with such a diverse range of characters. You don't feel any sense of "winning" any of the girls over as you have so many options and no real competition. So, if you were looking for more of a game versus a novel, you may be disappointed.

The story is interesting. Classic kind of story once you realize the kind of sci-fi it is. It seems to borrow many elements from the German Netflix series Dark. I don't recall any OMG moments (which you'd expect from a story like this) but of course the game isn't done yet.

I highly recommend anyone to play it.

I'm writing this review after completing the game (up to the end of Chapter 8), and I have to say I was completely amazed. The story might have seemed classic at first, but as I progressed and played it through, I was amazed. It's a very well-structured story, full of twists and turns, and also very entertaining. It might not have seemed very original at first, but from the end of the first chapter, the story began to take on a much more original tone, and I appreciated that. The scene renderings improved chapter after chapter, so much so that I had to play through them again to notice the difference. Of course, I liked the initial renderings, but it's clear the developer really pushed themselves chapter after chapter. The characters are truly beautiful, and you can feel a great empathy for them as you immerse yourself completely in the game, so much so that some characters you even hate, which means they're really well-written. As for the audio, there's not much to say; initially, it was almost empty, with some classic sounds, but over time, more soundtracks were added, and I don't mind that. The game is very smooth in terms of playability, and I've encountered almost no bugs—just one, but nothing serious. A restart and it was gone. I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a quiet life with a bit of a plot twist. It's definitely worth it!

My only criticism is that there are too many girls and not really all that much content for the one girl that I want.(I'm still holding Jackie coin, I'm not selling no mater what)

This game is on the mount rushmore of well animated scenes on the website. Easily number 1 if you ask me. Your circumstances can vary quite wildly by doing things differently because of the time travel gimmick. Amazing renders and a decent story.

The animation steals the show though

Very solid game. Long and well-structured sex scenes, which are the main focus of the vn, with excellent animations, complete with high-quality, carefully crafted and contextual sound effects and music; a large number of characters, all very well developed, contrary to my initial concerns given how many there are; tons of content across the eight episodes released so far; written in excellent English, which is rather rare around here.

So why 4 stars then? For me it would actually be a 7 out of 10, but giving it three stars feels too little considering the amount of high-quality content. The main problem with the game is the plot. The mysteries are there, and how interesting is a story involving time travel? The potential is endless. The problem is that it doesn’t work for two reasons:

1. It lacks an underlying hook to give the narrative cohesion. The game tries to portray the administration of Riverside’s NPP as the antagonist, but unfortunately they lack any real bite; they’re more caricatures than anything else and never represent a true threat, repeatedly giving the impression of incompetence and inconsistency other than being pretty much a foot note for most of the game.
2. The protagonist is a spectator of his own story. There are many well-written protagonists who are powerless victims of the events around them, characters who try to make sense of what is taking control of their lives. Unfortunately, Jack is not one of them. He always moves as a reaction to other people’s will. Even the one major example that could have been an exception (his first entry into the NPP) is actually driven by an external event that lures him into sneaking in. Every single move he makes is spoon-fed to him by someone else without the slightest initiative on his part—both the actions that drive the plot and those that move the relationships forward (it’s always the girl who makes the first move, shows interest, or asks to take things further). This on one hand destroys immersion and on the other makes you feel like you’re watching a fumbling headless chicken move around on screen.

Essentially, the plot is a weak excuse for the sex. The sex is great, but sometimes I wondered whether it wouldn’t have been better to just look at the gallery. In the end, though, the answer is no, because the characters are well written and it’s a delight to watch them interact and build up the tension that eventually leads them to have sex.

P.S.: Best girl, Scarlett. Fight me. I could compromise on Darci. Maybe.
P.P.S.: This game is one in the long list of titles that suffers from the common issue of the absence of other noteworthy male characters in the plot, unfortunately, which further harms immersion. There are five very minor male characters (and four of them are actually two pairs of reused copies across the two timelines); the rest is just the protagonist and his entourage of fuckbuddies.

One of the best story games on the site, my brain keeps racking up theories while also being fantastically animated and sexy! The characters and the writing are phenomenal while still being fun and entertaining. (also cameo from my goat Stabby Mike!!)

Fuck all your friends. Then timetravel into the past and fuck all their mothers when they were young. Finally come back to the present and fuck them again but in MILF form.

If you're not sold by now I can't help you.

Final notes are that the plot isn't that solid, it's just there to facilitate the fuckery - don't pay much attention to it. Animations are quite good, especially after a few chapters. And do note that there is a real chance most of the friends you're fucking in the present could be your daughters - but hey, if you're like me that's a plus.

A super cool game—definitely one of the top 100 on F95. It’s impossible to compare them directly, since each has its own unique qualities. I’d really love to see this one completed someday. And would love to have a side content where mc impregnates everyone in both times as well as change of timeline where mc can truly save everyone missing or dead...

Amazing porn with servicable romance. The characters aren´t that complex, hence the game doesn´t really hit emotionally for me, but creates a no-worry cozy feeling atmosphere. The lewd content is simply top notch, and while none of it feels realistic, it´s a great fantasy. As I said - fun.

My only complaint is the MC, whose internal dialogue had my rolling my eyes at times. His super nice guy enlightened drivel reminded me every second that he is a game protagonist - because no one talks/thinks like that. This goes for the girls too - but I don´t have to neither self insert in them nor belive they are an actual person. Still, if you play porn games for porn, this is a must play.

for my money, one of the best games in the zone. the renders are incredibly high quality, every single one of the girls is gorgeous and unique, and the time travel mechanic lets those of us not super into MILFs see them when they were just TILFs (teens I'd like to fondle).

The combo of being a slow burn when it comes to h content but also artfully mastering the tease is amazing. these girls are not just immediately lazily taking all their clothes off and spreading on the bed. darci in particular has amazing tease content.

I really enjoyed this game. I like the vibes, and there is plenty of spicy contenet. I can see some how it's similar to Eternum in some aspects, but it's more like an advantage for me. Good job devs, keep this level up!
