Interesting, interesting. Many of the suggestions you are making were actually planned to be in the game when we started the project. Problem is, we realized that with just two of us there was no way we could do all that we wanted to do and keep the game releases coming at a resealable pace. We realized that the game would take many, many years for us to finish and so we decided to scale it back to a more regular VN. We still have some mechanics we want to implement, like the tavern, but our main focus is on the story. There are a few plot points, characters, and mechanics that we had to abandon in order to keep the game moving forward. When we finish the main story, we are going to go back and comb everything, make sure every bug, and every typo is fixed. We're also going to polish the game more, and decide if there are mechanics that we abandoned that are worthy of getting a little more fleshed out, then we can focus just on those mechanics and make them really quickly before we do the official release of the game.

It felt like it only took a week for Catherine to go from struggling to deal with a pack of kobolds to taking down the elder, Eleanor's magical genius is never addressed, I don't even remember the name of Catherine's student

So just out of curiosity, how many guys can you romance as Catherine in this game, so far? Thanks!
Currently I believe there are 3 different men that Catherine can romance, but I don't know if all of them will make it as viable choices for endgame romance routes, 1 or 2 of them might end up as being at most mid-game flings.
Three have confirmed romances already. One is still in the air, he gets some sex scenes but we're still figuring it out if he is going to be a long-term character.

Thanks very much for the clarification - I'm really happy to hear that Catherine can get some genuine love from the guys too. And yay for the leader of the knights being one of them, I just came across him and instantly hoped for him to be a choice (hopefully one of the long-term ones)!
Just out of curiosity, and it's fine if this isn't the case but I had to ask, will there be more romanceable male characters (long term and short) besides these?

Marius didn't gave Cat a good first or second impressions, hiding in the temple taking the space from people who fought in the battle of Batria or wanting Eleanor out of his squad. I see Khai as more of a casual hook up and Victor as a friend with the ocasional sex, let his Vampire waifu have a taste.
Yeah, I also thought the Cathrine's problem got resolved a little too quickly tbh but I believe that maybe an extra side quest or two before the big battle, would fill the need to feel like your are actually working to pay of your debt. Maybe add some events where she pays a part of her debt, or gets sexually exploited if she doesnt, some rivalry in the guild with the elf boy.
In any case, I think this is one of the best games here. Pretty drawings, good story, sexy romances, and my favourite, futa MC (I mean, not futa, but she uses it a lot).

We're trying our very best to not add any more characters since we already have way too many. The characters that do get added going forward are going to be mostly just to drive the story forward. You can have a sex scene or two with them but there will be no romance.
Confirmed we have: Lena, Eleanor, and Briwala. But there is most likely going to be a few more.
We do want to do it but I can't promise anything at the moment.
Are there any plans to have Jean turn the tables on you or being able to act sub to him once he is your slave?
None whatsoever. The thought never crossed my mind.
