Does anyone have a full save? Given how linear everyone is saying this game is, I just want access to the gallery and can't be bothered to finish it.

Ngl, the ending is sadder than I expected. Kirsten really fucked things up a bit, I really hope they all get their happy ending in the next game.

If this is your first Captain Sikorsky game, I recommend trying any of his other titles first. This one has by far the heaviest, darkest, and most elaborate story of all the others, which were almost a parody or mockery of conventional fantasy stories. But this game delves deeper into the world's lore, the Empire Kirsten served in, the Alliance that faces the Empire, among other things that you'll only understand if you've played the other games. Now, Reminiscence as a game is fun; it's perhaps weaker than the Captain's previous titles, but the reason for the distinctive approach is clear. So my advice, as someone who has played since Iris's game, is to leave Reminiscence as the last game to try.

I don't usually comment on games at all but my god, this one is deserving of one. I have only played Kirsten's game and Princess Yustie's game before this. Those games seemed pretty light hearted, with the exception of Kirsten's game including her guilt about what she had done in her past and is undeserving of living (albeit vague about exactly what she did). Of course I just assumed what she did was just kill people and take over villages all for the imperial army, but this game tells you exactly what she did that made her so guilty and have a given-up-on-life mentality. What these two sisters Pinel and Meiri go through is absolutely atrocious, but what they had with Kirsten before the big reveal was beautiful. By the end of this game, I felt genuine guilt for the characters. It just goes to show how well the story writing has gotten, especially compared to the older games. I wasn't going to play Iris or Wein's game (given the artwork seems choppy in the earlier games) but now I want to see what happens with Pinel, and if she gets revenge. That's the power of great storytelling, it makes me want to pick up the other games by the creator. Anywho, I'll likely only play those other two for the plot.

Summary: This game had an interesting plotline, and hooked me well into Pinel and Meiri's world. It's a dark world. A very, dark world.
