This game has a lot going for it. It's got a nice, consistent art style, various mini-games and a somewhat fleshed-out "combat" system. Despite all these great features I have pretty much given up on playing this game, mainly for one reason: It is an absolute chore to play.
It starts off great, you're introduced to the village and it's menagerie of beefcake residents, touching butts and taking names. You quickly run into a wall, however, because the game requires you to gather resources to repair various buildings around town and the only way to get these is by playing mini-games or fighting. The hitch is that you get such a paltry amount of resources each time, that you have to play the same mini game or fight the same enemy 4-5 times for each repair in the early game and that number just keeps going up the farther you get into the game.
Exacerbating this problem is the fact that there are like maybe 3 different base models for the villagers (with varying hair and beard styles) and 4 or 5 different enemy types, so they all just kind of blend together into beefcake mush. While it might be hot for the first couple of times, the eroticism quickly devolves into routine as you go through the motions to unlock the next thing, only to keep grinding for the thing after that.
Disappointing right now, but could be vastly improved by cutting down on the grind and giving the NPCs a little variety.
UPDATED 10/10/22:
As the game is now in it's final release, I decided to try it out again. You now get a stacking multiplier on material gains for each pair of underwear you collect (usually by finishing quests or raising a villager's affinity), so the grind has been mellowed out somewhat.
The lack of NPC variety is still a letdown though and while a number of the villagers have "romance" paths, they're very brief and don't really get you invested in any of them.
Still, bumping up to a 4/5 for the grind balancing.
