My Antivirus programm says that version 0.998 is a troyan

Once I used Avast Antivirus. This antivirus deleted all my games, deleted windows 10 and after all it deleted itself. I have nothing against antiviruses but sometimes they go crazy and the antivirus starts deleting your games. In my case, there was a complete formatting of the hard drive and ssd.

It was the only way to keep you safe, Avast loved you and it knew the only way to keep you completely free from viruses was to make it so you could not use your computer.

Regarding the virus thing: I just did a scan of version 0998b and it says that there's nothing malicious there, so that one ought to be safe to use.

You're using 998. Update to 998a or b

I'll make it very simple for you guys. Anti-Virus operate on checking for trusted organization certifications from major companies. Most open source or individually developed programs aren't certified, therefore Anti-Viruses always flag them as being trojans.

Its like when Facebook fact checkers find an article that is published by someone that isn't a bias left wing media organization, such as independent journalist, actual doctors, lawyers, etc... Facebook will label them all as fake news or misinformation. Anti-Viruses operate on the same gate keeping principal, unless a program is certified by some major spyware / virus company like Google, Microsoft, Apple... etc... they all get labeled as virus.
