Ren'Py - Rogue-like: Evolution [v1.61f] [Oni]

This game is definitely on my top 5 list. I love the amount of freedom you have in this game! You get to do whatever you want with your women and wherever you want.

The dialogue is also a contributing factor towards the quality of this game. You can really tell that Oni actually put a decent amount of effort in what the girls say because there are special dialogues for every occasion/scene.

However, Oni is one of those slow developers who takes ages to update the game, and when he does give the fans an update, it usually isn't that much. But, there are a lot of modders who remedied Oni's flaws and took it upon themselves to add a little bit more spice to the game. So, bravo to them and to Oni ofcourse!


8/10 for now.

Really good game. Doesn't have the kind of lore and pacing that Four Elements Trainer has, but I prefer it that way. It's a trainer type of game without having to pour in the hours of work that game has. Game thankfully doesn't seem to have any obvious placeholders, and feels pretty complete. I don't know much about X-Men, but as far as I can tell, it's a nice interpretation of Rogue, and fitting for a kind of porn parody like this.

The game itself is quite good. Lots of content and a well-paced progression system (at least for Rogue and Emma, the same can't really be said for Kitty). The expanded mod is really where this game shines, however. The contributors to the mod have basically improved every aspect of the game, so get the combined version.

This game I'm mixed on mainly because the art on the girls look really good and it's fun making them either just your girlfriends or your whores. But the problem is I don't see when this will be finished theres no real story and also only 4 people in the game the 3 girls and prof X and the UI really needs work.

An excellent game. Artwork is good and the gameplay itself is actually engaging. Expect to spend a hour at a time playing this one, even with cheats. In this game, you play a regular student, but there's a catch: Mutant powers don't affect you in any way and your touch is somehow addictive. This quickly captures the attention of the local females when they hear of your unique powers. Try not to be too rough.

The best 2В CG game on the site with great interface, CGs and story, very nice training system and excellent modders team regularly contributing new content. Works a bit slow with all mods installed, but aside of that - a great job!

This is the perfect jack-of-all trades sex game. It's a trainer that doesn't feel too grindy, it's a dating sim that gets to the "point" as quickly or slowly as you like, and the girls are very hot. And it keeps getting better with every iteration!

While the developer doesn't update very much, if the updates actually have anything , the modding community has thrived, and really added girth to this trainer game. There always seems to be something new for this game on its thread. It's a great trainer game with excellent visuals and constant additions, albeit not official.

Pluses:
1. Art. Magnificent rendering of characters. Great animation of cut scenes and actions.
2. Characters. They are real. Dialogues and behavior of the characters really correspond to the original. Each character has his own style of speech and behavior. Just wonderful.
3. Character customization.
Minuses:
1. Optimization of the game. Animation is sometimes interrupted. At this time, the load on the CPU (my CPU AMD FX-8350) is greatly increased. But this is the problem of Ren'Py, not the game.
2. Transition effects. Darkening, animated transitions are too many. After each option, there is a transition. It's annoying.
3. Irregular menu customization of the character. Too many attachments, illogical menu.
4. Bugs. More bugs. Incredibly more bugs.
Verdict:
The game has great potential. A lot of characters, interesting gameplay, beautiful design. This game is worth playing.

I love this tread as it has a mod community that consistently updates and shares their creations, which keeps most of us busy while waiting for official updates. I've been enjoying the game so far with no game breaking problems and the mods make it that more enjoyable. Would recommend checking this content out.

Great game. This has a lot of potential, and the 90s cartoon it is based off was one of my favorites growing up. This game really captures the feel of the source material and I cannot wait to see what additional heroines/villains get added to it. In addition, the modding community on this site have truly taken the base game to the next level. All in all, I think so far is the best game and most definitely the best modded games I've had the pleasure of playing on this site. Thank you to the creator and modders!

Art is superb, mecanics are great, game overall needs a bit more polishing, more variety, better interaction with sexual actions, or at least better conversations, right now is too much repetitive. But basically it goes too slow on development... I love this game thought, not 5 because it needs more work and faster updates

Okay first off the game has very little story and that is a draw back and not much variety in sex or characters to fuck.
On the plus side the art is very good and it has my favorite character Rogue in it.

Rogue-Like is in my opinion a game that offers huge potential.

PROS:
+ Very good art that really resembles official art.
+ Nicely animated scenes.
+ Acceptable writing.
+ Not excessively grindy for a trainer game.

CONS:
- UI. All choices and navigation is made via menus that can get confusing sometimes.
- Really lacking in the sound department (Music / Effects).
- Sex consists of women interacting with ghost hands and penis.
- Very slow development.

If the developer can pick up the pace and start introducing more poses / characters / locations faster and add some sort of plot to the game, this could be real gem. 4/5.

Great game! the artstyle is a perfect mimic of the original source that is even used as a base story in this parody;
The mechanics are well thought and designed enough to have a deep and progressive interaction between the PC and the NPCs;
The content is reasonable, and it always keep it updated,the H-scenes interactions are very intuitive, graphically speaking, there isn't too much content on this matter, but still satisfatory;
A better look on the interactions clearly shows that its the main factor on this game, its core, since the variations are wide and there's already set up an immense blanket space to it fill on even more later;
Sadly the developer, Oni; don't want to much involvement of other programmers, even those that applied for free to help him out that are part of his fanbase, took years to him accept outside help, and in his case is essential, since he practically learning from scratch how to deal with the game while making it by himself, now even with a few others helping he still still producing too slow & low content, its been years of development and it barely changed since it first year, its almost on the Togashi-level of productivity;
Anyway, the game is still an Amazing DEMO, and I hope that my grandsons will be able to enjoy it properly when its get full released. =)

The following review is based off my personal experience with playing this Game/Visual Novel... I try to be as brutally honest and detailed as I can, and these are my own opinions and thoughts, from one or more play throughs... The version this review is based on is v0.978b...

This game is a adult/erotic parody of the Marvel Universe X-Men... The concept is cute and slightly funny...

The visuals of the characters are 2D hand drawn, a bit cartoony in nature but still pretty good... The backdrops are the same... I'm not a fan of the phantom hands, phantom penis, and so on... Same goes for the see through hands... Plus not all visuals match what is necessarily being chosen to do during erotic scenes/events... Sometimes what is chosen isn't even represented visually...

The script is spot on, as I don't remember running into any spelling/grammar errors... The plot (what little there really is) revolves around a male protagonist who discovers he has a super power that nullifies any other super power/s of someone he comes into contact with... He then is invited to stay at the X-Men HQ/School... And of course Rogue instantly falls for him, since now she has someone she can touch without issues...

The game mechanics involve a highly grindy system of repeating this and that to gain various stats for the protagonist as well as with the other women characters... Once certain stats are achieved, various levels are achieved, and so on, different content opens up or different options for character interaction opens up with each character... Now, you can expect to spend a lot of time grinding out everything, or you can also use the built in cheating... Cheating will guarantee that you may miss certain content, so be aware... And most grinding content, and interaction content does become highly repetitive...

Overall, even though this game is meant to be a parody, it is mostly a grindy porn fest... Grinding away to open up new sexual interactions and events... The protagonist can even date and be a boyfriend to multiple women characters, go figure... It has it's moments of comedy both in the visuals and text, but not much... The parody aspect is more in the conceptual design of the story idea and visuals used, rather then actually making you laugh all the time... There is no real meaningful story, or even story depth at all... It's still in development, so there is some more to come... Will I revisit it? Probably not, but only time will tell...

PSA Just for the good of the site: To open the console in a ren'py. Open the console file in the games file. Sift through the text till you find Config Console = False. Replace the false with "True". Done.


It's good. I'm not always a fan of trainer games with the execption of "wife trainer". Usully they'rre just a bit to grindy for my taste, while this is still grindy. It's good offering a decent amout of content for the grinding you do.

I can't wait for more releases with better content.

Dang this thing just kept getting loads of content throughout the years huh, i've moved on to much more detailed and realistic vns but this one is still very dear to me, definitely going to play it again someday.

Nice game, even if its still not finished it still hold a lot more content than some completed game. Also it include two of my favorite X-Men, Rogue and Kitty . Just need Jubilee and it would be perfect

I normally like games that have a good story you can immerse into. This game barely has any story at all. Weirdly enough I still like it.
That's probably because the sex options in this game are superb. The amount of interaction you can have with characters and their bodies is astounding. At the same time the reactions and options are as realistic as they get considering this is a game.
The options to go either "good" or "bad" are something I really enjoy in games like this. After all it's not as much fun to go "bad" if that's the only planned path. At the same time it doesn't feel "special" when you go good if that's the default option.
There're several stats that allow for interesting gameplay and though right now (v0.974i) the character Rogue is a bit too simple to get for my and many other people's taste the game mechanics themselves show great potential.

The art style wasn't my kind of thing at first, it really grew on me though as time went on.

I'm normally against grinding in this kind of games, but given than there's no main story the grinding actually makes up the game play. And unlike other games where you click "work" and "sleep" repetitively it does so in a very exciting and engaging way!

It's probably intentional that this game is similar to actual rogue-like games that don't bother with story but focus on fine-tuned game play instead.
The only difference is that you can't screw up and have to start all over again, it's more like a "choose your own adventure" sort of thing.
That's likely the correct path for an adult game though, imagine you couldn't save and would have to start all over again every time you have a decent wank going because you pushed your girl too hard

The creator provides a constant stream of updates and seems to be interested in feedback from his patreons, overall this game looks very promising, I can only recommend you check it out!
