Oni, on the other hand, used to drawn in semi-realistic style in this game, in accordance with the original series - I use past-tense because Gwen is completely out of style when compared to the rest of the cast.
So his characters are supposed to be at least plausible - and here lies my problem with the Squirrel...

Exactly. She looks like some Frankenstein's creature: the parts don't match. Few real women would combine such thickness in some areas and such fitness in others. As I said above, such blatant disrespect for human anatomy and physiology wouldn't bother me in art where this is standard (like all the expansion fetish comix) but it isn't supposed to be the case in R-L: E. That, plus her overall uglyness (that... face... ), lead me to classify her among the eldritch abominations.

I don't think the squirrel girl in the game is exactly "fat." She is clearly bustier than Kitty, but I wouldn't say "fat". However, let's agree that her main problem is not her body but her face. I hope that at this moment the Oni is redesigning her face, because it reaches a scary level because it is so bizarre.

Lets be real here. The proposed Squirrell Girl by Oni is entirely fucking trash and is a abomination. Like really, does he want fans to be force into liking a character thats by no means is even close in terms of design to Original/Modern adaptation? Not just the face is off but the body as well. Like I'm all well and fine with a girl who has some curves, but in terms of characters, for me they have to be resemble the version they are closest to representing. Rogue and Kitty and prime examples. Laura, sure we get the 'grown up' version of her, which is best. Emma's is fine. Jubes is perfect. Jean, while sure the whole personality is way off because Oni is a cunt who hates Jean for some bullshit reason, she's pretty spot on in looks.

All in all... Oni best go back to the drawing board, literally, if he really thinks patrons and supports want that version of SG.
